Bio

I've been doing genealogy for over 30 years and am still having fun with it. I've only been living in Madison County, IL since 2008, but as a photo volunteer, I've learned a lot of local history walking through the local cemeteries.

If I am managing a memorial of one of your relatives, I am more than happy to transfer it to you. I don't care about my findagrave stats, I just want to get the information to those who can use it.

Regarding photos:

Please feel free to use my photos and bio information, proper credit would be appreciated.

Photo requests:

I enjoy being a photo volunteer and there are lots of requests for photos in my area.
That said, if I may rant for a moment;
- I would ask people not to make a photo request in my area if they live nearby and are physically able to search a cemetery. Your not only missing half the fun, but if I'm working your request, I may not have the time to honor a request by someone who lives far away.
- Other item, there are several cemeteries in my area with over a thousand graves. Most of these have management offices. I would recommend that before you put in a photo request, please contact the cemetery office to request section, row, plot information. If a request includes location information, I am more likely to drive out and take the picture than if the request expects me to search over a thousand markers.

Good luck in your research.
