My husband and I live in South Lyon, Michigan and have three children and six grandchildren. My interest in family history began many years ago when my Dad inherited a Civil War diary written by his great grandfather. While raising my children I never had much time to devote to my interest but over the past few years I've really gotten into it. I stumbled across Find A Grave while doing family research and immediately wanted to be a part of it. |
Please let me know if any of my memorials need correction. If I've made a duplicate it was accidental and I'll gladly remove mine if you let me know. For corrections, to add additional information or to request a transfer please use the Edit tab on the memorial.
Please Note: I do NOT link to "burial unknowns"; however I will make appropriate notes in the bio field. Otherwise I'll gladly make family links.
If you would like to use my photos please ask first. I will almost always give permission as long as photo credit is given to the Find A Grave memorial.
Many thanks to all who have helped me along the way. I hope to be able to pay it forward.
Note: I am doing random corrections of memorials with no last name. Nothing personal, please take no offense. Thank you.

For Remembering Dad..Have a Great One
|Jonathan Phillips||RE: John F. Thompson Jr|
Unfortunately, I cannot add the links on these memorials because they are "owned" by other people. I just supplied the photos. I think I can, however, suggest a link through the new edit features of the site and they will eventually go through.
I am kin to these Thompsons and I was wondering if you might be also? John's brother, Jake, was my direct ancestor.

THANKS for the catch on this one.. I was adding the names and stones last night and was falling asleep as I worked. I finally gave up and went to bed. I really messed this one up. Does he happen to be a relative. If so, I will transfer.
Again, THANKS for the catch.
|NolaGirl||Re: Rose Hayes|
Actually her maiden name IS Hayes. On the line just below her name it says "BELOVED WIFE OF..." I have not been able to make out his name but it definitely is not Hayes (the last three letters are "eer". I have tried to enhance it but it is so faint I guess I will have to make another trip over there. But thanks!

What a good deed ...thanks so much. I was updating that memorial today with new info and somehow the original memorial stayed and the new one did not register the surname so two memorials resulted. I would have seen it eventually. But your help in catching the error today is much appreciated. Some software checks would be a good way to prevent this sort of thing from happening. Until those are developed...its helpful volunteers like you that keep things running smoothly.
Have a nice day....best regards D. Montgomery

|Grave Recorder||RE: Babe|
LOL....no need to do that. It is very faint on the headstone. I actually had to remove my glasses and really look at it to see it as well, lol. But I do appreciate you checking into that. :D
Nope. I did not post the wrong photo. There are two people on this headstone. One listed as Baby Harold and the other as Babe. Thanks for asking.

WOW. . .thanks for the heads up. All 3 have now been deleted.
Thanks for catching all those dups my computer just made, (think it had a seizure), hopefully everything is now corrected.
