I am a retired mechanic-truck driver and a former Marine Veteran, 1965-1969. Charlie Battery, 1st Battalion, 12th Marines, 3rd Division, Vietnam DMZ 2 tours 1966-1968.|
I try to take the most legible pictures I can. I believe in recording history for future generations. This is the best way I know to HONOR and Remember the deceased. I am adding memorials from books and graveyards so others can find their friends and family members.
If you would like some one transferred to you just ask. -(USE THE EDIT TAB)- on the memorial you want transfered. Glad to do links and I will add obituaries to BIO section also. (USE THE EDIT TAB!)
If I can help you with information let me know.
Semper Fidelis Sgt. Ed Elstan
Any pictures I have added you are welcome to use them for your personal use.

|patsy bollen||OLA KEY KISER|
I KNEW SHE HAD TWO TOMBSTONES. WHEN I PUT HER ON FIND A GRAVE THE INFO I GOT WAS THE HARALSON CO GA CEMETERY BOOK. IT DID NOT HAVE A DEATH DATE FOR HER. IT HAS SINCE BEEN ADDED ON HER TOMBSTONE. I TOOK A LOT OF PICTURES AT THAT CEMETERY LAST FALL FROM MY CELL PHONE. MY BATTERY DIED AND WOULDN'T CHARGE ANYMORE. HER MOTHER AND MY GRANDMOTHER WERE HALF SISTERS. I KNOW HER CHILDREN AND HER YOUNGEST SON VERY WELL. SHE WAS MARRIED TWICE. HER 2ND HUSBAND WAS NOT A KISER.
|Bob Burton||RE: Henry Hinson|
I have spent three days going over records, and calling Chattanooga various burial areas. 155 to be exact. I can visualize the place, I just cannot remember the name of it and so far have not been able to contact the right person to lead me to the right cemetery for Sgt. Major Hinson. I am in NYC and will not be going back home to a neighboring state until Christmas. At that time I will make a trip to Chattanooga to re-find it if at all possible. One place I could not get on the phone, and I was told this may be my best lead, was Chattanooga Memorial Gardens off of Memorial Drive. Though he does not show buried there, I was told they would know of other burial sites on the North side of the river in Chattanooga.
One thing I can tell you, he graduated from Tennessee with a law degree, on the same day his father passed away. He was admitted to the bar in three states, never practiced the first day of law though. He told his mother he had gone to school as she wished, now he was going to do what he wanted to do. That was join the Army. Which he served until 1968.
Sorry I could not come through, but I do not give up on anything, so hopefully in December will get back to you with the details.
