Alexander James Stewart
My g/grand uncle.
After having discovered Alexander & Agnes nee Gardner, from Scotland immigrated to the USA, what a thrill it has been to find the resting place of Alexander James.
May he Rest in Peace.

Is there a marker for him and/or his wife? If so can you post a picture? He is my ? great grandfather, on my mother's side. My mother is Wanda Louise Cox.
If you can help I would appreciate it.

Stohl family
I've been looking for my grandfather's (Charles Leander Stohl aka Karl Justus), and found this, my greatgrandfather's gravesite. Which of the Stohls was your grandparent?

Nicholas Snow Birth Date
Nicholas Snow's Baptismal record (Book) from England became available on the web, Pg 42. He was babtised in 1599, therefore could not have been born in 1600. Day and Month were not mentioned in the record. Suggest your Birth Year be changed.

Smalley Stones
Hi, I was I was doing some research on one of my favorite stone carvers when I can across a couple stones you have on here. The headstone for Joseph Smalley and the footstone for Jemima Ordway were both carved by a Gershom Bartlett, born 19 Feb 1723 in Bolton, Conn. and died 1798 in Pompanoosuc, Vt. I thought it unusual that Joseph and Jemima were born just up the road from where Gershom lived in Conn., and with a little searching I can up with this tid bit. Gershom's daughter married a James Small (I believe the name was changed and the "ey" dropped at this point) James parents were your Joseph and Jemima (Ordway) Smalley. So the stone was carved by there sons father in law. I've been looking for Gershoms burial site which is said to be in the Pompanoosuc Burial Ground, but theres no listing on Find A Grave for that. I'm thinking now theres a road trip in the near future to The Waterman Cemetery, as it might be the same, but with a different name. If you have any questions, feel free to E-Mail me. Thanks, Brian

I added Jemina's gravestone picture and I will add some more smalley's from the waterman hill cemetery. The Smalley gravestones are some of the oldest in the cemetery, and they are very quaint, hand-carved stones. Some of them are illegible, but I added the ones I could! It's a beautiful place; one of the prettier cemeteries I've seen. :)
