Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in Columbiana County in Northeastern Ohio. Since I started my family history research (over 30 years ago), I have been amazed at the unknown family members I have found so close to my home. I want to honor them by adding them to this site. Thank you to all who place flowers on their memorials.

Researching: All variations of the Chaplow name (Chapelow, Chappelow, Chapelhow, Chappelhow, Chapleo, etc.), Gorby, Crawford, Lambright, Felger, Ashbridge, Lodge, Weber, Culler, Stump, Mauer, Hillier, Nelson, Freed, Stilley, Pierce, Justison, McNutt, Ferrall, Mankin, Lalley, Hutchman, Beight, Farr, Eskew, Van Fossan/VanFossen, Thoman, Baker, & Rukenbrod (to name a few).

PLEASE DO NOT USE MY PERSONAL PHOTOS. Any other use or republishing of them is not permitted. It is a violation of FindaGrave guidelines. If you have an interest in someone, please email me. However, you may copy any headstone picture I've added for your own family tree use. The exception would be using my photos when creating a duplicated FindaGrave memorial. This is not allowed and is against the guidelines. A notation that I was the photographer would be appreciated, if only to assist others who may want to contact me about family. I've received a lot of help in obtaining family headstone pictures from other researchers and want to pay it forward. Thank you.

Please check the cemetery before you make an entry to avoid duplications. I welcome any corrections to information I have entered. Please use the suggest a correction tab on the individual memorial. It's easier for me that way.

Regarding transfers, please remember...just because you are related to someone doesn't mean someone else isn't. Please see F-A-G guidelines regarding transfers. *"The goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it."

I ask you to remember that the members of this site are volunteers, both for entries and photo requests. They spend time and money to do this out of a love of the past, to memorialize those who have gone before, and in remembrance of beloved family members. It requires cooperation and teamwork. If you don't like to do these things, I respectfully ask that you choose another hobby.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4

"Do not stand on my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the mornings hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave & cry;
I am not there, I did not die."
~Mary Frye

Scatter me not to the restless winds
Nor toss my ashes to the sea.
Remember now those years gone by
When loving gifts I gave to thee.
Remember now the happy times
The family ties are shared.
Don't leave my resting place unmarked
As though you never cared.
Deny me not one final gift
For all who came to see.
A simple lasting proof that says
I loved and you loved me.

Letting Go

The Angels gathered near your bed, so very close to you
For they knew the pain and suffering that you were going through
I thought about so many things, as I held tightly to your hand
Oh, how I wished that you were strong and happy once again

But your eyes were looking homeward, to that place beyond the sky
Where Jesus held His outstretched arms, it was time to say good-bye
I struggled with my selfish thoughts, for I wanted you to stay
So we could walk and talk again, like we didójust yesterday

But Jesus knew the answer
And I knew He loved you so
So I gave to you life's greatest gift
The gift of letting go

Dorothy Gorby
Hi Joseph,
Dorothy is my aunt, my dad's sister, and is still very much alive. She lives in East Palestine, moving there after her son William passed away.

Lucinda W. Tullis
Hi Joseph,

A Find A Grave volunteer, Richard Culler, just unearthed the stone of a person I had listed in Church Hill Cemetery in Elk Run Twp. only as L.W.T. Her name was Lucinda W. Tullis. Her stone says she is the consort of David Tullis. Would that be your David Barrett Tullis?

RE: Lambright & Gorby
I am from New Hampshire but within the last few years have moved to Georgia. My Grandma is Claudie Melott - her mother was Nellie Lambright and her grandparents were John Claude and Sarah. I visited Achor Cemetery a few years ago while Grandma was living with her twin sister in West Virginia.

Lambright & Gorby

I was curious if you are related to either of these families as you have many additions on Find a Grave. John Claude Lambright was my gggrandfather and Sarah Gorby my gggrandmother.
