|I was born and raised in Iowa, but have called CA home for over 25 years.|
I am new to family history research, but I am hooked!
I recently made some connections on Find A Grave and am quickly learning what a great tool it is in searching through family history.
I also discovered I have a passion for indexing (and photographing) local cemeteries. If we all do our part, the information each of us needs will be right at our fingertips.
Thank you to those responsible for this fabulous website. What an incredible tool and service you provide!
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
on polished, marbled stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I'd exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
in flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
one hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
and come to visit you.

The transfer of Clarence and Jane would be nice. The only other one I currently know of and which you control would be David Kenneth. Should I add a transfer request to his memorial?
Thanks for the offer.

Thanks for pointing out the duplicate memorial for Larry/Lawrence. I put in a deletion request for mine even though the other was created more recent. The one I maintain was a transfer and the person that created it went off the obituary for his wife when he created it and did not have 1/2 the information needed. It was sloppy work. Rather than update it, I figure the duplicate can stay.

Would you be willing to transfer the following graves to me?
They are my great-grandparents. There were married to each other, but divorced in the late 30s.

I recently made a trip to Holy Cross in Santa Cruz from Sacramento and was so surprised and overjoyed to see actual flowers put on my relatives graves. Thank you so much! I had no idea that giving online flowers would result in such a nice gesture. Thank you so much to you and all those that help.
Hi Becky - Thank you very much for transferring my family member to me! I appreciate your thoughtfulness!

Hello again Becky,
Thank you for your generosity in transferring:
Calvin Clinton Shore # 78764273
and his wife;
Mary Novella Gough # 78764218
to my care. I have successfully connected with parents, wife and children. As I receive more information, I will add it to Our shared memorial.
With sincerest appreciation,
|Monica Cornejo Ramos||Thanks|
Thank you so much for the work you do. It's such a joy to see where our relatives rest and to retrieve their dates of passing.
