William Curtis Courtnay
Glenda - Thank you so much for the quick update on William's grave entry. It would seem he just up and left his wife and kids in Ohio and went out west to California. Hopefully the information I've found for him and his wife will be of help to those who are related to them and I certainly appreciate your sharing the information via his Find-A-Grave entry for me.

Auburn (CA) Chinese Cemetery
We have found a number of gravestones for the Auburn Chinese cemetery that are not on your list. If you are able to visit the site I'd like to give you a tour. There are some that were interred there in the 1930's and 1940's

RE: Placer Records-Barrt
Glenda, thank you so much! Now I know who and where to reach for more information. I couldn't begin to guess where the old Placer Co Hospital records might be kept, so I appreciate your taking the time to reply. Thanks again, and thanks for your work on FindaGrave. I would otherwise have never known what happened to my great-etc uncle, Daniel Barry. :)

Sincerely,

Gloria

Chinese Cemetery
Hi Glenda,
Mike Holmes would like to talk to you about the Chinese Cemetery. He is having it cleaned up and would like to find out more about the graves. His e-mail is

Have you been to the Archives to look up obituaries? I really miss having the newspapers at the library. At least the Archives is open 3 days a week now. Karri

Error
Hi Glenda,

First let me apologize for not having my grandmother's info in my first request. Then, thank you for maintaining and making corrections on this site. I appreciate you and your work.

Gradma's name: Thelma Laverne Holmes Cemer.

Erro is that it states she died in College Place, WA. when she died in Salem, Oregon. Thank you for making that corrections. You rock!

P.S. to James Barry
P.S.

In simplest terms, if it would be simpler to email me with regards to who holds the records or where, for the old Placer County Hospital deaths, I will be grateful for the assist. You may email me at wuzreb at hotmail dot com

I hope you can help - I'm very excited to have finally had this breakthrough on my great granddad's brother, even if it is a sad one. It appears the cemetery was virtually a potter's field.

Thank you again,

Gloria

James Rudolph Barry
Dear Glenda ~

I don't wish to ask any extra work for you, but can you answer a question for me? I saw your post for James Rudolph Barry and I believe he is my great-grandfather's older brother. (My g-grandfather was Augustus W. Barry.) I'm trying to do as much research as I can, tracing their family back to Ireland, because I'm going to Ireland this June. Your post is the first I've been able to find any information on James' death, however.

Can you please tell me where you found the information for his date and cause of death? I'll gladly do my own research if you can point me in the right direction. :)

James also had a brother, Richard, who I may have found on Find-a-Grave as also having died of tuberculosis. His entry is here:
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=132909193

Thank you so much for sharing this information! :)
Best regards,

Gloria

Error on place of death
Hi Glenda,

On my grandmother's listing, you have listed that she died in College Place, Wa. and that is incorrect. She died in Salem, Oregon. I was there when she died. Please make those corrections. Thank you so very much.
