Bio and Links
Bio Photo Cemetery photos are extremely helpful for remembering loved ones and genealogy research.
I am hoping to help persons by posting cemetery photos. Keep in mind, many stones are very fadded, the number 3 can look like 8, they can be very difficult. I have tried my best to read these accurately, and certainly don't intend to confuse anybody by posting an inaccurate date.
Atleast you know that a stone does exist for that person, and basically what kind of condition it may be in, because who knows, a year or two from photo date, that stone might be gone, possibly lost to us forever.
My husband's (Phil) side goes back to the early days of New Haven, Connecticut. We were lucky to make a trip there and take as many photos as possible to post on this site. He is a big help in deciphering these old & weathered stones.
Hope we are able to help you with your family search.

Jeanette Atwater Daggett #10496366
Hi Nancy,
I would first like to thank you for all of the work you have done on the Daggett Family at the Grove Street Cemetery, you are amazing! In a document on the Daggett family that I found there
is a birth date for Jeanette-02 Mar 1799 in New
Haven, Connecticut.I have tried to find where her
parents are buried and many of the Atwater family
are buried in the Grove Street Cemetery, but I
have not found them.Have you come across Timothy
Atwater-b 02 Nov 1749 in New Haven, Connecticut-d
05 Mar 1824 his wife-Susannah Macomber-b 05 Sept 1755-d 11 Jan 1831 in New Haven, Connecticut.
Jeanette Atwater Daggett needs to be connected to
her husband Leonard Augustus Daggett, memorial #
10496363.If you can help me with a headstone picture for Timothy and Susannah I would deeply
appreciate it.Again thank you for all of the work and time you have given in helping those of us that live too far away to do this.Margaret

Hello Nancy,

I saw a photo you took of the Center Church on the Green Churchyard and fell in love with it. May I copy that picture and add it to my ancesty tree?

May I also copy any photos/info you have on findagrave?? I'll make sure I give you the credit.

It does make such a difference in researching you r family. I love this site! I just barely became active on this site and I'm loving it.

Marry Christmas!

Susie

RE: findagrave fix
Nancy,
Probably a slip of the fingers, but glad you found it. I will remove it as soon as I can.
Thanks,
June

RE: findagrave fix
Hi Nancy,

have you tried to contact the creator of the memorial, June (#37744826).

She would be the one who would have to correct the mistake regarding the link between Lucius Thomas and Amy McKinney. I only posted the picture of the grave, but I have no control over the edits of the memorial itself.

Good luck. Let me know if I can be of further help.

RE: Joseph Vernier
I've updated the information on him. Do you happen to know who his parents were? Thanks so much.

Chester Chatfield, Grove Street Cemetery, New Haven
Hi Nancy, Chester's page is completed! Thank you for the transfer.
Take a look at it when you have a minute. I can only find burials for two of his 12 children, but I imagine some may be nearby. If you are okay with me taking his two wives, I could do their pages too. Thank you, Catherine
