I believe everyone should be remembered. The state of some of the cemeteries I have been to saddens me. I try to go to a different cemetery in my spare time and take pictures of all headstones there.

I appreciate the effort of everyone on here. Findagrave has truly been a great resource for my genealogy, although all info on here is not always correct. If you find I have made an error on something, please feel free to let me know and I will get it fixed asap.

I am directly descended from Neace, Finley, Potter, Robinson, Flannery, Spencer, Edwards, Cole, Barnett, Vires, Whitely, Turner, Stamper, Young, Church, and Whitney among others. If/when I may add a picture someone else has taken to my family tree, I give full credit to the owner of the pic. I ask that you please do the same.

If you send me a request, please be patient as I have newborn twins. I also work. It may take me a while to get to it, but I promise I will get it done as soon as I can. If I only add a part of the info I receive, leave me an email address and I will explain why.

Thanks.

Thank you
Thank you for taking the time to photograph the grave stone for Elizabeth D. Spooner. She was my grandfather's cousin. She grew up in northern Maine but lived and worked far away in Kentucky.

RE: Gabbard Cemetery
I guess that being these people live in Texas, they are smarter than we can possibly hope to be and know more about our counties. They do have photos posted...so they had to have been there. So, I added a Flower and a note....

RE: Gabbard Cemetery
The Childers/Gabbard cemeteries are 2 different cemeteries. The Childers was on the right hand side of the road, Gabbard a little further down the road on the left. They both have signs. I went to both of them this past Friday. Next question...is Wide Creek in Lee or Breathitt? I did not see a sign saying I had crossed into Breathitt County on hwy 708. I contacted the people that listed the Back's in Gabbard Flat. They are convinced they are right. I have added the Gabbard Cemetery - Wide Creek to find a grave and posted all of the graves I got photos of. I will be going back to collect more photos soon. I think I went to the Gabbard Flat Cemetery a few years ago. It came a horrible storm while I was there, so I didn't get to search much. I really don't think there was anything I needed from there.

Gabbard Cemetery
I made it to the Gabbard Cemetery. It is further down the road than the Childers Cemetery, so it is it's own cemetery. There is a road sign at the end of the road "Gabbard Cemetery" I have listed it on Find a Grave as Gabbard Cemetery - Wide Creek. I didn't get all of the photos when I was there last week. I will finish this project when I get back into the area. I am hoping to take Delia's grandson out to see her grave. The duplicate graves that are listed in Gabbard Flats need to be deleted. So, I'm going to look them up and message the poster. Thanks for the information.
