In February 2006, after 30 years of service, I retired from the U.S. Forest Service, having spent most of my career working on the Daniel Boone National Forest, as a Law Enforcement Officer. Since that time, I have found this site and renewed my interest in geneology. |
I started collecting information shortly after my Grandfather, Ben Culbertson, died in 1983. I realized that I knew very little about my ancestors and began interviewing living relatives and making trips to local cemeteries to get information. Soon I discovered that I was having to return to the same cemetery to get additional information. So I began recording all the names in each cemetery while I was there and soon had enough information that I decided to attempt to locate and record all the cemeteries in that area. Eventually, I collected information on some 43,750 people, in 1,189 cemeteries, in Menifee, Montgomery, Powell and Wolfe Counties. This information was then put into book form and copies placed in each county library. I also have information on cemeteries in Estill and Morgan Counties. Anyone needing information on persons or cemeteries in these counties may contact me and I will try to help.
Since finding this site, I have been placing my research online. Most of my information is downloaded from my personal computer. My files and FAG format does not match exactly, so if you find a mistake or want to add information, I will make the correction. I will be glad to transfere any memorial that is not my personal family. Just contact me through FAG and give me your FAG number and the person's FAG number you want transfered to you.

Thank you so much.
|dl boyd||RE: Pearl Campbell|
In the interim, I found a document that confirmed that Pearl, and Kelly's other two wives, are at Tintown. If that is the case, there should be a Bessie Campbell(1909-1954) as well. I am unfamiliar with wife #3.
To me, one of the saddest things in the world is an occupied unmarked grave. So sad.
Again, thanks for your help.

|Vicki Cox||RE: Irene B Moore|
Sorry, Kendel. I thought this would automatically reference it. It is Irene B (Barnes) Moore in MachPhelah in Mt Sterling. She was born May 10, 1892 and died at age 77 on November 18, 1969.
|dl boyd||Pearl Campbell|
Thank you for the photo conformation of Pearl Campbell. I am looking for a Pearl Campbell(1897-192?/193?) that was married to a Kelly Campbell. I needed this information to make sure this was or was not the one I was looking for. I believe the one I am looking for is in Tintown cemetery. This is the area of the county where she is from, and a number of her reletives are there. I thank you again for your help.

Kendell, my grandmother, Irene Barnes Moore died in 1969 not 1979. You have a typo here. Thank you for all the work you have done with our cemetery research.
