Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in Teaneck and raised in Palisades Park, Bergen County, New Jersey. Currently, I live in beautiful Hunterdon County. This place is truly "a little slice of heaven", nestled between two major American cities - New York and Philly. We boast of one of the last clean rivers in the East - the Delaware.

For many years, I'm involved with genealogy and local history as a hobby. It's a rewarding journey and a great source of personal comfort in light of the loss of my loved ones. Before my interest, history was my least favorite academic subject... boring! Now, I have a renewed curiosity of what life was like for our ancestors. What was the political, cultural and social environment of their day? What daily struggles did they endure just to survive?

Our ancestors treaded lightly upon this earth, and may not have left much behind. They deserve to be remembered with honor. After all, they made us who we are today.

Please note: A simple "thank you" to a volunteer is always appropriate. It lets them know that their efforts to help you are appreciated.

George and Emma Dixon photos
Hello Beverly, and thank you so much for the photo of George and Emma Dixon's marker! I asked the cemetery office back in March for locations for their plot and my other photo request plots in that cemetery, but I have yet to receive them.
(They are all my Dad's cousins).
Thanks again,
Dan Phelan

Paul Lilly photo
Hello Beverly, and thank you so much for entering the photo for Paul Lilly's marker today from Saints Philip and James Cemetery. Did you by any chance see (or photograph) any other Lilly markers nearby? They are distant relatives of mine. Are you working with Kay Eflin? I just made her acquaintance a few days ago with records from that same cemetery.
Thanks again,
Dan Phelan

Smith Family
Dear Ms. Kirby-McDonough:

Thank you for your hard work. Our family has been trying to locate the graves of Robert and Jemima Smith, Bethlehem Township and Hunterdon County. Robert was born c. 1750 and died in 1813. I've been told that a graveyard in Asbury, NJ was demolished and the grave stones thrown into the Musconetcong, which may explain why i haven't been able to locate his marker. If you have any suggestions I would appreciate your help. We have lots of information about his children, but are stuck with which Smith family Robert descended from, and have no idea what Jemima's family name is.

Thank you for your time and attention to this inquiry.

Glenn Smith, Bethlehem PA
