I reside in Dayton Oh, but grew up in a tiny Crawford Co Oh village of Sulphur Springs (SS), thus my interest in small nearby SS/Liberty Twp/Union Cemetery, resting place for Revolutionary Soldier Adam Link in 1864, age 102. See sign in his honor at the Liberty Twp/Union Cem page. Also, thirty eight CW soldiers are interred there. Many local CW vets trained at nearby Annapolis, now named Sulphur Springs, and joined Co C 49th OVI formed at Tiffin. I am interested also in the other rural cemeteries near Sulphur Springs. Organizationally my interest includes CW Co H 123 OVI, and the SAW my grandfather's Co A 8th OVI. I have created several virtual cemeteries. If you can add to them, please contact me. I have compiled: Christian Striker in America 150yr: other surnames of interest: Ferguson, Durr, Wittel, Dinkel, Bessinger, Branstetter, Swarer. My wife's mostly Montgomery Co Oh surnames: Shank, Creager, Michael, Wolpers, Kreitzer, and Kemp.

Fairy Light Strickler
My family is from Crawford Co Ohio for several generations. Am presently doing research in history of Strickler , Light, and Bittekofer families. One of my cousins married into Striker family.
You created entry for my mother Fairy Light, but married name you submitted is correctly spelled Strickler. She is buried in Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg, Ohio. Died in 1986.
Thank you for your work.

Dr. Frank M Virtue
I would like to be able to read the obituary for him. The site will not make this larger. Did you get this from a library? It also has a picture with it. Thank you so much for your help.

RE: Lawrence Schell/Shill #5788788
I want to thank you for going to the cemetery and checking on my family. The photos were great. Joseph's stone was leaning up against his mother Elizabeth's when I was there in 2001. Guess it fell and busted. At least I got a photo of it before it broke. Lawrence was still a little readable but not now. Elizabeth's headstone still looks good.
I saw your postings for the Manning's as well. They are connected by marriage to one of Lawrence's sons. Its been a long time since I was able to go to the cemetery. I hope one day to go back. Good virtual cemetery for our vets.
