Bio and Links
Bio Photo Most of my family settled in Adams and Brown counties, Illinois, therefore my focus has started in these areas.

I am interested in helping other people find their families by entering memorials and filling photo requests. While I'm searching I take extra pictures to place on FAG.

Please notify me if you would like something added, corrected or deleted on a memorial that I have entered. I will respond to those that follow the Find a Grave guidelines and use the EDIT link on the memorial page.

Thanks to all who have helped with information, photos, additions and corrections.

I meant to say that Mary E. Clinard died in 1881 instead of 1887.

Memorial Mary E. Clinard in Benville
If you can, please check her date of death as stated on her tombstone. According to my calculations per censi, she was born abt. 1847 ... and another relative has corroborated the fact that she died in 1887 instead of 1887 .... which would fit perfectly..... I sure do know that reading old tombstones is not any easy endeavor and appreciate so much any and all help regarding my faraway family members like Mary .... so if you could check that out and change the dates if necessary, sure would appreciate it. THank you so much for your time, dedication and kindness. susrod

RE: John Morton
Hi CJ, thanks for your reply. Regarding research. I have done mine and John Morton, he is listed in the U.S., Registers of Deaths of Volunteers, 1861-1865 and died in the Regimental Hospital Fort Donelson, Tennessee, 19 June 1864.
best regards,

John Morton
Hi CJ, it interests me that you list the date for Find A Grave Memorial # 69716113 for John Morton's death as June 11 1861 according to Cemetery Records of Knox County, IL. Haw Creek Twp. Yet you also list that he Died as part of Company G. 83rd Infantry Regiment Illinois on 19 June 1864. Seems that if both are validated that there is a problem. Have you tried to determine which is correct? According to my records from a listing in the U.S., Registers of Deaths of Volunteers, 1861-1865 he died in a Regimental Hospital Fort Donelson, Tennessee, 19 June 1864. Something is clearly incorrect on the record and I hope we can figure it out!
best regards,

p.s he is only a distant relative of mine but his record is part of my family tree and he was the father-in-law of husband of 2nd great-aunt but I want his record to be correct.
