Someone was kind enough to add my daughter's grave on here before I even knew about this site. Meaghan Olivia A HUGE THANK YOU to those of you who stop by Meaghan's memorial and leave a token; from a momma who misses her more than words could ever express, it gets me teary eyed that you would take the time to do so. Blessings to you~
Just trying to pay it forward...
My grandmother passed away in September on her 90th birthday. If you would like to leave a flower Lois Purtymun Carpenter
*******My laptop which has all my cemetery photos has crashed. Until I am able to get it to my techie son to recover all the photos, I am working from the Franklin County Cemetery Records Book (Tennessee). I realize the book has errors in Spelling and dates. I am trying my best to find missing death dates for those that are missing in the book. I started with the small ones but am jumping over to the large cemeteries--just finished everyone from Eastern Star in Sewanee (400 new names on there now) and Memorial Park (500 new names in that one) Please be kind when sending corrections. thanks!******
98% of the memorials I add come from pictures of the headstones taken at the cemeteries. It's the only way to get everyone without someone being missed and just about every cemetery I have been to there have been memorials that were overlooked (even in the small ones.) Some are very difficult to read so I put on as much info as I can make out in hopes that someone will come along with the missing pieces or corrections for what I entered. This site is made up of volunteers GIVING UP THEIR TIME to do this so there is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON TO BE RUDE when contacting with corrections. As per findagrave we have THIRTY days to make a correction (some of us do work outside of entering memorials. DO NOT send a second correction if it has only been a couple days. To send 3 in a week when you have a message on your own profile saying please be patient is comical.
PER FaG .."We do realize, however, that when transcribing a cemetery, it is not always possible to determine if the person is living or not. Please do not add pre-need memorials from (1931-present) to Find A Grave." Yes, I do add all markers if they are before the 1931 birth date and have no death date as more often than not they have passed away and the marker has not been updated. There are loved ones out there that may have been searching for that person which is the whole reason I do this.
Thank you to all of those who give of their time to add to this site!!
RE: Weems you are welcome. I have check off and on for the past year to see if I can find the people you requested, but I didn't have any luck. Bass Cemetery is not in the best condition. It had headstones pushed over to their side, broken beyond repair. Also some are broken and missing half of their headstone and I couldn't find the other half to match it. Grass is waist high there too. It is rather sad to see this cemetery like this. I have to figure out what city it is in and contact the proper city to what they can do from their end as for as contacting the owner and or relief fund to get Bass cemetery back to where it needs to be.

Memorial#52906968 Photo Correction in previous message. Abraham James and wife Elizabeth Jane (Ragsdale) James were my great-great grandparents. Also, I have a photo provided by granddaughter of Nancy Rosella (Ragsdale) Wilkinson/Reeder (1841-1913), sister of Elizabeth Jane (Ragsdale) James. Like the family photo of Elizabeth Jane (Ragsdale) James posted by me on her memorial page, Nancy Rosella looks like Elizabeth Jane; both women are slender with angular face features. Do you have married name of Liza? There was a boarder named Eliza Ragsdale in Abraham James home in 1861, Williams Twp, Stone County, MO. Unknown if she was a sister or a sister-in-law. Her age: 28.
