Leatherwood Connection
I'm researching the Leatherwood family that first appears in North Carolina at the outset of the Revolutionary War. Circumstantial evidence suggests the family progenitor (born circa 1745) may have spent time beforehand on Leatherwood Creek in what was once Lunenburg County. The information you have posted regarding John Leatherwood Owen is of great interest to me, as his middle name and birthplace suggest a possible connection. I'd appreciate any further information about him you could provide.

Peggy, No I didn't know your family member. Sometimes I just browse & if I click on a page I always leave a token so the family knows someone visited. Judy

RE: Lewis Jones/Fall City
You are very welcome. Please feel free to use them however you wish. No I do not live in Fall City. My best friend does though. I go there about once a month so just let me know if you need anything else.

Please call my father, Brett Erb, that would be his Mother. 9072278118 I rather leave it up to my father. That would be my grandmother.

Hi- I was not awared of it. Is it too late since I looked at your message and it was summer time when you emailed me.
Let me know what I can do. I will put you through my father since I am in Washington state.

I am blessed to have kind people out of there.

Marge was my favorite grandma. I do have her full name and some information but I want to ask my Dad his permission first.

RE: John Leatherwood Owen
hi Peggy,
As much as I love this stuff, I have no time during the year while I'm teaching college. The John Leatherwood Owen memorial says it was done by:
Created by: John Fish

Find A Grave Memorial# 21933485

You can see who created each memorial on the site of that memorial. It usually states this near the bottom. I am signed up to give a presentation on the genealogy search in April! Maybe I'll be in touch!
