I am a recently retired school teacher. I've been doing genealogy for the past 30 years. I recently joined the Find a Grave website.

I have completed photographing and uploading all the stones from the Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano, Illinois. I still have about 10 pictures of very old faded stones that I will use the burial index to identify, but that project will wait until spring. If you wish any of the entries transfered to you, please email me.

The Griswold Cemetery south of Plano has now been completed. There are a number of unreadable stones in the cemetery. I have tried to identify them using an early reading of the cemetery, so that is why some stones may be hard to read.

Fowler Grove Cemetery north of Plano has been completed.

Elmwood Cemetery is Yorkville is totally uploaded, thanks to some assistance with some of the stones.

Working on Pratt's Oak Law and Oak Ridge in Sandwich. Pratt's has a great many partially buried stones and who knows how many totally buried.

Another child is Minnie Weise b. 1874 d 1943, who
married Albert Miller.
Minnie and Albert Weise had kids:
Mabel
LeRoy b. 1899
Floyd b. 1902

So "Roy" and "Floyd" (in pictures from cottage) are Great Grandma Michels' older sister Eliza's grandsons.

Marjorie Tyler, LFT Cem, death date
It appears that there is a typo. The stone says 13 Nov 1943 for a death date but the page sats 13 Nov 1945. Kristy

Plano Cemeteries
Hi Anne,
Thank you for all of your hard work with getting pictures of headstones and making memorials for the people I greatly appreciate that. Just found my great grandfather in Plano, IL. but it says in the Kendall County website that he was buried in the St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, would you have any idea where that might be? I'd love to know if there is a headstone for him some where in or around Plano.

Thank you for your help with this, and all the work you do to help others.

Sincerely
Karon Dunifin

J. Nicholas Schneider
Husband of Mary E. Schneider…Elmwood. A large beautiful stone, with both names (and dates) on it. But I could not find him on Find A Grave.
The info is plainly on the stone so I suspect you just forgot to add it. I was going to do that…but realized I don't know how. Maybe I cannot since it is your page. Anyway, knew you would want to know that his name is missing from the index.

I looked for him because I wondered who his parents were. It "looks" like Mary married here father since they seem to have the same name…But birthdates are definitely different. There is a brother of Mary's father who lived in Illinois (Kane?) … his first name was Peter. Could that be the father of the younger John Nicholas?

Don't have to know anytime soon…just have that hole in my notes.
Do NOT go wading in the snow this time. 8-)
