Bio Photo Family genealogy is my passion. I love doing the research and reading all the history that goes with it. Finding someone you've been looking for pop up out of the blue as if to say 'I've been here all a long' Connecting with family and friends sharing their memories is what it's all about. Keeping the family alive for generations to come. Putting their lineage down on paper so they can tell their children as I've told mine. Find a Grave is one of those places for families to connect and the memories stay alive.

RE: Alabama Faulkner
Will keep an eye out... Do you know, by chance, if Alabama is listed in any of the cemetery transcriptions? I haven't gone to the library yet to try to find any transcriptions. Just wondering if you knew off-hand. ~Everett

Mary Jane
I only found 1 Mary Jane in the cemetery...it is a small metal plaque showing "Mary Jane Norton 1862-1929". Could this be the one you are looking for? I did not want to post it until I was sure since the birth year is off by about 20 years. Let me know. :)

RE: Valentine & Sarah Meyers
Thank you, Dana! I was in touch with Leon Meyers back in the 1990s about the family genealogy. I supplied him with photographs of Valentine's daughter Martha Meyers Bline's family. He was very nice and seemed quite thorough about researching. Of course things were very different back then. We had to go to courthouses and libraries and cemeteries -- now there is so much on the internet, and these things that are one click away now would have taken years to hunt down. Anyway, thanks again for posting those photos! I definitely appreciate it.

Valentine & Sarah Meyers
Hi Dana! I am a descendant of Valentine & Sarah (Crutchfield) Meyers. I am the person who found and typed the obituaries that you added to their pages. Can you please tell me how you have photos of them? The last I heard, one of the Bline descendants (their daughter Martha's family) had photos of them, but that was in the 1970s and I assumed I would never be able to track down the photos. Please let me know how you are related. And thank you very much for posting these!! I didn't think I would ever get to see what they looked like.

Dana: Earl V. NORTON (1885-1940) was found buried at the Garden Grove Cemetery. You might want to leave your blue In Memory placard there again because I just deleted the virtual memorial I made for him. The new link is Earl Vernema NORTON [link # 114785250].

Dana,

My name is Jon Doerr and you left a message on Find a grave that you are the 5X Great Grand Daughter of Smith Parks.

I believe (one of the) Smith Parks was the father of Orien Parks, my Great-Great-Grand Father, and I am trying to trace my family tree back from Orien. I did the Ancestry DNA testing and was linked to Christine Finland (who also left a message on your Smith Parks find a grave wall) so I am sure we are related, but just not certain how as of yet. Can we compare some notes?

Please consider contacting me on email at: jdoerr@prosolassociates.com (my work email which I monitor near constantly) or to call me on my cell phone: (540) 805-0070.

Best,
Jon Doerr
