Please use the "EDIT" tab to ask for EACH transfer request.

The goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it.

****If you volunteer on this website and decide you no longer want to maintain the records please transfer your records to someone who has an active account and willing to take over the records. I am one of many willing to take over records. This really will help reduce duplicates. It would also be a good idea to leave someone instructions on how to do make these transfers should you go inactive without warning.***** Thank You (Borrowed from another FAG Contributor)

By Thelma Greene Reagan

Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where other cried
For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.

Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.

Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.

Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hollowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.

Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.

Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.

Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.

"If you wonder about your 'roots' you have two parents, four grandparents eight great-grandparents and 16 great-great-grandparents, and by the time you go back 10 generations 300 years or so- you had 1,024 people from whom you are directly descended. --Mady Castro

Thank you for listing my mother's obituary, however you have her parents wrong. Her parents are William Thomas and May Wilkes Edwards and are from Walsall, Staffordshire, England. Mother was born and reared in Walsall.

Can you please add my Dad's older sister and her husband Jack. Connect them to EO & Molly like you did Uncle Rob please? Thanks.

Thank you so much for adding my Uncle Rob so quickly, and adding my grandparents link to his info. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. Are you related to my family?

Hi Homer,
Thank you for corrected his information. Kevin was my brother and I just added the obituary for family members.

re: Thomas Groves, Bridgeport CT
Hi there,

I plan on going down to Mountain Grove Cemetery in Bridgeport, CT within a week or so to search for a whole bunch of monuments that have been requested. Would you be kind enough to call the office at Mountain Grove and find out where Thos. Groves is interred (section and plot number)? I'd love to help but the last time I sent a list of names to them, the staff there got a bit annoyed. They will be happy to accommodate you, however. Ditto for any other requests you might have in this cemetery.

Thank you so much!

I was wondering if you have any info on his brother Thomas Jr? He was born about 1841 in St Landry Parish and I assume he went to Texas with his father and stepmother as well...???
