Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm a retired Radiological Engineer and a Electronics Technician Chief-ETC(SW)USN-RET. Past and present hobbies are Skydiving, Motorcycle riding - Veterans, Masonic and American Legion riders, Pistol-Rifle-Bow hunting, Genealogy, Photography and racing R/C model cars with my granddaughter.

Folks my photos are for anyone to use as long as it's not for profit. These are your family and friends. I'm just thankful that I can help but a credit would be nice. If you need the original image just contact me.

Speaking of photos I've seen some really poor ones. I don't follow their idea for a photo size as it's to small to look at, if you want to blow it up to see something. I use a Panasonic Lumix pocket "CAMERA". I crop and adjust them for brightness and contrast using Elements and my final size is approx. 1761x1000 at about 350kb file size. I carry a small brush and shovel an remove anything growing near it. If in doubt I go with an without flash an pick the best to start with. It's a one shot deal folks give them the best you can an be proud of it. Check out, Granny, #97607760.

Another thing I do at the grave site is record the GPS coordinates. I use a Garmin etrex 10. I use, boulter.com/gps/ to convert the numbers for F-A-G format. I put the Plot information and coordinates in the notes. Then the grave can be viewed from the satellites.

I also don't have a lot of memorials an that's because I'll give them away as fast as I can. I DO NOT believe in their relationship recommendation. If their your family, friends, neighbors or shipmates it's yours as long as you treat them respectfully and it's not my family. I'm surprised that there not handing out bronze, silver and gold headstones annually for the biggest (head)stone hunters.

Live long and prosper.

Talk at me later,
Bob C.

Photo complications
Wow, I never thought of a simple photo request generating such bureaucratic complications! I don't blame you for not wanting to jump through so many (unnecessary, IMHO) hoops, but if you don't mind, e-mail me the forms if you can so that I can see what (shudder) could become commonplace...

Thanks Bob for informing me of the unwilling cemetery to be of any help. I have never heard of all the steps you have to take to try to find a relative. It is a bit ridiculous. I am sorry to say that I did have to withdraw my request for a photo. I do appreciate you explaining it all.
I find it all so sad. JoE

Thanks
Thanks for the offer for Helen but it seems like that graveyard is very hard to work with. Maybe someday I will get out to AZ myself.

Thanks for trying, Bob. I see no reason for your jumping through all those hoops for a simple picture. I appreciate your trying.

RE: Berel's - Casa Grande,AZ
Thanks for the reply. Do the markers have names on them. In the photo it looked like a metal plate. Was there a marker for the brothers grave? I'm glad to know the cemetery is clean and nice. The weather isn't good to places at times and it seems there are many places in our country having damage.

Bob, What are the circumstances of the cemetery where this burial is? The Berel surname is a very uncommon surname and I have not placed this person in my family. I guess I need to order a death certificate to find out who he was. The cemetery almost looked like a trash dump. Very sad looking. Thanks for going to take the photo. Pat
