I think there might be a relation to my husband but I am more than glad to transfer to you if you will go to the memorial and use the edit button and ask for the transfer. Lot less chance of a mistake on my part. There are too many mistakes out there already. A quick questions. My husbands grandmother was a Gilmore from Nebraska. Just curious if the might be a connection.

Thank you so much, Maude Ann. I will contact the libraries in Brookhaven and Monticello. Have a great week! Frances

Hi, M.A.! You stated in the article that Martin had kept a journal during the Civil War. My gggrandfather was Stephen Kees, Martin's uncle. Could you please tell me where I could view or obtain a copy of this journal? Thank you for your help and the information that you shared. Frances

Hello, M.A. I have recieved information about Mary having other children with William: Leroy(1903-1961), Herbert (1906-1979), William Frederick (1901-1979), James David "JD" (1911-1979), and Hansford C. (1913-1972). Some are already listed but maybe you can list the others, too. This was sent by Gina Taylor, the granddaughter of William Seth Crawford. Her # was not included so I can't send it. Sincerely, Tommye # 46827428.

Let me know if there is anyone else you want. My whole point in this is to try to get memorials to family and friends. I'll get a thumb drive out to you in a few days. Many of the bios in Men & Women of WWII from Lincoln, Morehouse & Union parish might help. Many of those men and women ended up in other areas of Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi. If you can find a home for the pictures, I'll be very happy.

Thanks! I've connected John Travis Nixon to his daughter, Mildred Eliza Nixon Nolan. Let me know if you'd like me to transfer Miss Mildred to you. I want her to be with family.

Thanks for your reply, and your work that you contribute. Perhaps that person will see the message and know how to correct it as I do not.

I'm sorry, but John Gideon Lovell was the son of Barnett Lovell, Not Jordan Lovell. Jordan did have a son named John but his dates are 1864-1887. John Gideon was my grandfather. He and four of his siblings were orphaned in l863 and their uncle Jordan took them in in Pollock La and raised them. I do not know the middle name of Jordans son, John. Hope this helps to straighten this out.

Will you please allow me to use your photos on Find A Grave for my Maxwell Family Tree? I am a descendant of Thomas Maxwell of VA and Ga. I descend from Thomas, James, Joel Pinckney, Joel Sutherlin, Oliver T and Robert E Maxwell.
