Bio and Links
Bio Photo I retired in 2001 after working in criminal justice and social service programs in Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana. I have a B.A. in criminal justice and a master's of public affairs from Indiana University.

My father died unexpectedly from a heart attack in 1958, shortly before my 16th birthday. After that, each May, I would accompany my mother and Aunt Mabel as we decorated his grave as well as those of other family members throughout Whitley County. In the 1990's, my mother asked me to compile some family stories for a publication called Whitley County and Its Families: 1835 - 1995. That was the beginning of my interest in genealogy. After my mother was no longer able to go with me, my daughters and daughter-in-law joined me in visiting grave sites on Memorial Day each spring. I am most interested in creating and maintaining memorials for family and friends [Note: I try to follow good genealogy research practices. If information is given to me to edit or change a memorial, I do want to know the source of the information].

RE: Picture of Charles Smith's stone
You're very welcome. The stone is getting grown over with grass, so it's not the greatest photo. I will try to get a better one when the weather is warmer.

RE: Henry Gamble's stone
Well, you are very welcome! I had been there also and found the rest of the family pretty quickly, but Henry was always a mystery.

Today I walked the entire grounds and finally found him and Anna in one of the newer sections.

Cheers!
Dee

Okay, I always check with the contributors who are giving me additional info to see if they want a transfer. Thanks for all the photos that you're taking, that makes the memorials so much more complete. Take care and have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Sue,

Thanks for the info, I have corrected it. Let me know if you want her and/or any of the other Cripe family members transferred over to you. Have a good evening!

Thanks Sue!

I took a bunch of photos in Colorado in June where there was info missing. I did the same thing as you did with me, but unfortunately the person didn't make the changes.
