I have been doing genealogy since 1979. I co-authored the Morgan County Cemetery books in the 1980's. I have published a book on my Compton family and my Lynn family. Also several publications for the Morgan County Genealogical Society. |
I have been married for 59 years. We have two children and five grandchildren living and one that died at age two years and five great-grandchildren.
I enjoy scrapbooking, cemeteries, photography and antique shopping.
If I have entered incorrect information or you have something to add to a memorial, please let me know via the SAC on the memorial. I will be glad to transfer memorials to a member according to FindAGrave guidelines. Send your requests via the SAC on the memorial you want transferred; otherwise I will not transfer.
I love FindAGrave. It is a great way to honor those that are no longer with us and preserve history for future generations.
Please visit baby Zack's memorial and leave him a flower. I miss him so much.

I am researching the former Superintendents of Education for Morgan County Schools, Decatur, Alabama. I am looking for a picture of Thomas Morrow to display at our Board of Education.
Any assistance you can provide would be appreciated, as I seek to honor Mr. Morrow.

Oh, I may have been just starting out then. Which daughter? Helen Louise Kyle Valles Countz was my mother and the eldest daugther of Ocie. I don't know much about my Aunt Doris. Just that she was Doris Kyle McDonald. They didn't talk to each other.
Helen was the daughter of Veda Grace Romine and Ocie Ola Kyle.
She was born 29 August 1932 in Harvest, Madison, Alabama, USA on and died 6 April 2006 in Birmingham, Jefferson, Alabama, USA
She married Vicente Alfonso Valles and had 3 children, Trinidad, Helen and Nancy (me)
She remarried Victor Erwin Countz and had 1 child, John

Im so sorry but I have just realized that i did not ever send directions to the Ratliff cemetery. I can go there but can't ever remember the names of the roads. Give me a few days to run out there and i will get back with you.

Thank you for making the addition. I am working on getting the other links updated.

Has an error. This was my grandfather and he was survived by his daughter Helen Countz. Could you please correct the last name of the other daughter who was my mother?

Thank you. I am new to this site.

I believe this grave at University of Verginia is the son of Louisa Elizabeth Lile based on the obituary. I would like to see them linked.

I am researching my Lile family roots. Thank you for your work here it is very valuable. I am grand daughter of BB Comer Lile. He would have been the nephew of William and grandson of Louisa.

I'm so sorry but I don't remember if I answered your request. The graves do have a fence surrounding them. It is located on private property and is confusing to find I'm sure. I can go but haven't thought about the roads and little streets so it will take me a little time. You may have found it by now. Again I'm sorry if I didn't answer you before.
