Bio and Links
Bio Photo Bio: I was born in Kentucky, the third of four boys of George and Ethel Scott. I am a retired Civil Engineer. My wife & I now live in a small community in central Alabama. Our children and grandchildren live in nearby counties.

Why FAG: My Maternal Grandmother lived with my parents from as far back as I could remember, till her death at the age of 88 years. Long after she and my parents were gone, I found a document detailing her immigration from Sweden to Canada by ship, then on to Paxton, Illinois by Train. She was 15 and only spoke Swedish! Since finding that document I have been researching her, and my other ancestors, and my inlaws, and my children's inlaws, and the ancestors of the memorials I create.

Corrections/Additions: Please go to the memorial page and use the "Edit" tab to enter any and all additions or corrections to a memorial. Use the public message area below or email for all other matters.

Memorial transfers: Transfers outside FAG guidelines (distant relatives, close personal friends, etc.) will be considered on an individual basis. Please make the request by using the "Edit" key and then the "Suggest a correction or provide additional information" Key. Requests made in the "Messages left for Norman Scott" section at the bottom of this page may not be fulfilled.

Obituaries: I do not post newspaper obituaries in the Biography section of memorials. I do use pertinent information from newspaper obituaries to use in the Biography section of a memorial. For privacy, I do not list living relatives, except the spouse in some circumstances.

Photos: You may use my copyrighted photos only for your personal ancestry endeavors without asking for permission.

Temporary Grave Markers: Some memorials I create will have a photo of a temporary marker placed by funeral home personnel. Please notify me if a photo of the permanent grave stone has been posted by you or someone else so I can delete my photo.

Messages: FYI, old messages are purged periodically.

Louis Greening Johnson
Hi Norman,

Thanks so much for the photo of Louis' stone. I harbor a strange twinge that he and I may be related - and to think both stemming from England and making it to Alabama! I'm no longer in the area, but am researching away. I'm very grateful for your time.

RE: Loyd Dennis edit
No, I haven't been there since June. But I was doing some research and when I found his memorial, but I couldn't find anything either on his death and then I noticed he served in Vietnam, so I knew he couldn't have died in 1963. So I searched for him without a death date and found him.
