I enjoy performing random acts of genealogical kindness. If you need a little one performed, from the comfort of my computer desk, you're welcome to ask and I'll see what I can dig up for you. (Sometimes a set of "fresh" eyes can unlock a mystery.)|
I became interested in genealogy when my grandpa, Ernest Athel BAZE died and I inherited his lifetime's worth of genealogical work. He painstakingly researched and wrote by hand on several sheets of paper as much information about our family as he could. My!! How times have changed since the computer was invented, what took him a lifetime to accumulate, will take me a lifetime to fully confirm, prove and document sources... and add their decendants!
Many of the submissions I have made to findagrave are people that I am not related to and will gladly transfer "ownership" of such memorials to a family member or person willing to remain responsible for updating and maintaining the accuracy of the memorial.
Cousins, you are welcome to contact me! Let's share what we know about our side of the family to enable our decendants to more fully piece together the family tree.

|Richard Collins||Martha Ann Baxter Doty|
I have tried for decades to confirm the story that my Grandma, Jewel Anna Truhitte Collins' grandmother, Martha Ann Baxter Doty (45427384), was a medicine woman/doctor.
Today I received three obituaries that I ordered from the Missouri State Historical Society. One of them clearly confirms that Martha Baxter Doty was a doctor.
Cassville Republican, Thu, Mar 16, 1922, p8 (last page), c1
Mrs. Martha Doty Dead.
Mrs. Martha Doty, wife of Davis Doty, of near Jenkins, died Saturday, March 12, (Sat Mar 11 1922) at the home of her son, Harrison, at Monett, at the age of 62 years.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. J. T. Brattin, were held at Leann, Sunday afternoon, March 12. A short service was held at the home, before the body was taken to Leann. A large crowd of friends attended the funeral.
She had lived most of her life near Jenkins. She had for many years been a practicing physician and had ministered to numerous families in that community who will cherish her memory.
Besides her husband she leaves four sons; John of Berryville, Harrison of Monett; Elder Volie Doty of Oklahoma and Warren of Jenkins; also three daughters; Mrs Prude Cares and Mrs Martha Truhitte of near Jenkins and Miss Goldie at home.
|Carla Carlton Young||Oscar Baize|
I changed the spelling as you ask to Baze. However he is buried with Baize folks. We have no other Baze folk in this particular cemetery.
I a related to the Baize folks, and never knew about the Baze spelling. I have transferred this memorial to you.

Thanks for asking, but I control the memorial only for the father. You cannot link parents to children (or unlink). The children have to be linked to the parents. I did not link them, so I cannot unlink them.
Sorry. I have sent requests to the creator of Charley's memorial.
|Rindi Baze||Charley Peter Baze|

|D Noble||Laura Wade|
Thank you for the additional info on Laura Wade. She is my great grandmother. I did not have a chance to finish her page, and it dropped off my radar. Thank you for the reminder! We are probably related in some way, as I have Ollie Ann Baze in my tree. Thanks again!

Although the death certificate says otherwise, James is buried in Auburn Cemetery, Ellis Co., TX and the memorial is accompanied by a gravestone photo. Thought you would want to know.
|Farm Girl from MO.||Please remove death certificate.|
Would you please remove the death certificate that you added as a photo to my memorial for Milton Thomas Bragg #43989149. While I appreciate the info. I would prefer to add it to the bio. area of a memorial and save the photo area for family photos or photos of a persons stone. Thanks, Farm Girl from MO.
