Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been researching my family history for over thirty years, inspired by the stories and tidbits that my Grandmother could relate for hours on end. I was especially happy to be able to verify most of her stories in the written and published records. I have also done research on my wife's lines and was amazed to find that my 15-Greats Grandfather and her 16-Greats Grandfather were one in the same which makes us 16th Cousins, once removed.

I will be happy to transfer a memorial subject to the guidelines of Find-A-Grave

From the Find-A-Grave faq:

Transfer requests will be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request.

Any non-direct relatives (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc) are not required to be transferred.

Isaac W. Purnell
Thank you for sending me the note. I corrected Isaac's last name and linked him to Elizabeth. I also added additional information from the census data I could find. They had no children but the did rear their little niece who would provide Elizabeth with a home after Isaac died. Maybe some family member will eventually find this couple. Isaac was a carpenter.

Tom K. House - Pettus Cemetery
I got your request to move Tom K. House to the Pettus Family Cemetery instead of Pettus Cemetery. There seems to be some confusion about this cemetery which I believe are the same. I went there for a photo request and found the cemetery in terrible disrepair with broken tombstones. I was able to take a picture of Tom K. House's tombstone, and I posted it in the cemetery where the photo request came from.

I don't know what your relation is to Tom K. House or if there were always two Pettus Cemeteries listed. I checked with a major cemetery in Dyersburg, TN before I went there and also researched it online. None of us could find but one Pettus Cemetery in this area.

If you feel this is in error, you should probably contact find-a-grave and let them combine these cemeteries.

If you can provide some proof that this tombstone is logged in the wrong cemetery, please let me know through my private email. I only do this work to help the family members.

Thank you for your input - Tina Simmons Cantrell

Just wanted to thank you for accepting the editing for her memorial. Trying to connect this line of my Chiles family together & was happy to see you'd added her memorial.

Happy hunting!

RE: Frank C Gilbert
Thanks for listing his grave. I live in Arizona, and couldn't get to his funeral, so had no idea exactly where he was buried. It means a lot.

Your 7th Tennessee Cavalry Virtual Cemetery
G-Man, I just noticed your 7th Tennessee Cavalry Virtual Cemetery and checked to see if my g.g.uncle Sgt John R Stewart was included. He was not. John was one of the many 7th men who starved and died at Andersonville Prison. His is an unusual story of circumstances and he was not 'on record' at Andersonville until recently.

Would you please add him to your virtual cemetery? His memorial links are...

Cenotaph, Reagan Tennessee

Andersonville Prison Georgia

Grave photo of Ruby King
G-Man, thanks so much for the grave photo of Ruby King... Did you find her grave in New Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery or Oak Grove? I ask because her death certificate shows Oak Grove but she is listed in New Bethlehem here.
