Recently I sat down to post a memorial for the step-mother of my niece only to find that there not only was a memorial already for her, but also for my niece's dad. I checked her site and found that the memorial had been posted on the same day her obituary appeared in the paper. Apparently it has now become a contest to see who can post a memorial first. Not only does this seem immoral to me, but it means that the poster lacks any respect or dignity for the family. To post a memorial before a person has even been laid to rest is unthinkable. If this "trend" continues, it will mean that because of the "guidelines" of Find A Grave, no one will be able to post a memorial for an extended family member because it will already have been done for them by a total stranger. There's even a memorial up that was posted before the arrangements were announced. Absolutely despicable!|

Thanks for looking for him. Based on your advice I've un-entombed him and put him in Holy Cross in Brook Park, and submitted a new request.

Thank you very much for going to the cemetery and taking a picture of my aunts grave. I don't know what people would do without people like you. I'm very greatful.
Thank you so much for going the extra mile and finding her obit. I was trying to find my great great grandmother thru her sister Emily. The obit finally confirmed the relationship.

Thank you for going above and beyond and helping finding where Minnie and Mark were buried. I could not find the obituary for her online and Marks said he was next to her but did not say where. Even with the snow you go out and help others. Thanks so much.
