|JFINK||Three Rock Markers|
Richard & Mary Catherine Rouse had 5 children, 3 of which died very young. When I visited Mt. Zion Cemetery in 2013, I found 3 stones located in front and to the right of Richard's grave (while facing Richard's grave). These stones were more in line with the MCR marker. I have a picture showing this area. Since the church is located there, surely someone would have the records as to the graves these stones were marking....Mary Emmazeeta Rouse, Ollie Mae Rouse, & James Harris Rouse were the three children who died young.

|JFINK||Mary Catherine Kilbreth Rouse/Eliza Clark Rouse|
I am piecing together some of the Rouse info I have for Richard Marion Rouse and thought I would ask you a couple of questions. The first is regarding Mary Catherine Kilbreth Rouse. I took a picture of a rock marker in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Lewis Kentucky with the initials MCR carved into it. The rock is situated at the foot of Richard Marion Rouse's grave site. I also have the following information regarding her burial...
Mary Kilbreth Rouse died at age 56, in March 1921 in Portsmouth, Ohio.
Copied from the Vanceburg Sun:
Thursday, March 17, 1921, Heselton news: Mrs. Mollie Rouse brought here Saturday, died in Portsmouth last week, buried at Mt. Zion beside her husband. She leaves two children, a boy and a girl, four sisters, two brothers, over 50.
Did you find evidence that she was buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Wheelersburg, Ohio?
The second question I have is regarding Eliza Clark. I noticed that her death year is 1882 on Findagrave and I have records showing it to be 1892. On Findagrave it also says that Eliza's grave is not marked and the location is lost. Do they have records of her burial there? I was going to call them to see but thought I would ask you first. If they have an approximate location of her grave, I may still send a request for a picture. Darn! We just went through there too.
Thanks for your help!!

Hi Wendell, I am the grand daughter of Sophia and I have information on another sibling of Sophia. Her name is Carrie Lou Guy. She is buried at Myers Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN. Her grave has not been added to findagrave so I don't know if there is a way to add her to the list. Thanks.

|Alan & Kim Poore||Hi Wendell|
I took the liberty of posting a photo on the memorial for William David Walker. It was in a trunk passed down in the Frazier family from James S Frazier to his son Lester Frazier. I think there are more of the Walker branch, and can e-mail copies if you would like.
Thanks and God bless,
Alan & Kim Poore
|Genealogy Corner||Hale family|
I tried to correct some of the problems with the memorials. John Hale (1814-1881) was married to Mary Ann Nichols (1815-1900), and they were the parents of James A. Hale (1837-1898).
I also added a picture of James Robert Hale, and his daughter Inez Hale Pascall. Also, I added a picture of John Preston Washburn, and his wife Hannah. Hope you like them.

Wendell, I've just located Harriet's daughter Violet Hester (Blaylock) Norris Please (* note the photo of different color skin people) and her daughter Elizabeth Bell (Norris) Melbourn in US Census 1930 located Quinaielt Indian Reservation, Grays Harbor, Washington, United States.
So my question is You have a young photo of Harriet and she looks darker skinned could she have been of Quinaielt Indian decent?
|Marlene Stevens||James B. Johnson|
I am the great granddaughter of James Baxter Johnson (1816) and noticed that my grandfather's name is not listed as James' child. My grandfather's name is William "Willie" Martin Johnson (1859-1948). Thanks for posting James' biography, I did not know anything about James Baxter and his father Aquilla Johnson (1770-1850).
I am a James relative through Azariah James' sister Matilda James Brown. I would love to compare information with you. Please contact me at email@example.com.

I know the order of burial at the cemetery, but none of the infants are buried just next to Charlie. There are 3 'baby' Blaylock, then Bertha, M J, J D, Lucille, Ezra, Edward, JT, a joint stone with Mike and Samantha, then Charlie & Myrtle's stone. Hope this helps.
