Bio and Links
Bio Photo These heroes are dead. They died for liberty - they died for us. They are at rest. They may or may not sleep in the land they made free, under the flag they rendered stainless, under the solemn pines, the sad hemlocks, the tearful willows, and the embracing vines. They sleep beneath the shadows of the clouds, careless alike of sunshine or of storm, each in the windowless Place of Rest. Earth may run red with other wars - they are at peace. In the midst of battle, in the roar of conflict, they found the serenity of death. I have one sentiment for soldiers living and dead: cheers for the living; tears for the dead.

Pictures and Bios:

For me a simple attribution, Michael V. Drachman 2000-2015 works for any of my bio's for personal use. (Pictures ).

Should you use my pictures and wish to publish them elsewhere, say Ancestry or other similar PAY sites, please,, Post the link to the site here at Find A Grave..

Please remember that even though Ancestry has acquired Findagrave, Ancestry is a pay site, posting pictures there, or similar pay sites, transfers your ownership, like FB. This is mentioned (in very fine print) in all of their disclosures.

Findagrave was built by thousands of volunteers who's time was donated for the benefit of family members and friends,,who in many cases are not able to visit the resting places of their family members. These efforts were always intended to be free of charge and should remain that way,,,,,

"I have a burr under the Saddle on this one" that being pay sites "profiting" from Volunteers work....

In the end, never let yourself become complacent to those who have went before us. Always make time to remember the sacrifices that have been made for us by our Ancestors.

Never forget the Men and Women of our Armed Forces who have guarded our Constitution with their lives, some giving all to secure our rights, liberties and freedoms.

Remember the 100's of thousands soldiers who never came home, many who lie in a unmarked graves, never found or a foreign cemetery as that would indeed make those lives,, lost in vein... Reach out,, honor a Veteran.

Allow us not to embrace any politician. aristocrat, celebrity, who in the name of change, forgets or attempts to direct us to think otherwise..

A Nation which forgets its Defenders,
will itself be forgotten ..

.. God bless America..

They were under requests, I didn't see that they were claimed. I have deleted all the photos I took so you're good to go.

You contacted me thru Find A Grave about a posted portrait as a headstone. Altho I have the memorial, someone else posted the portrait picture. I can not do anything about it. You will have to contact this "Bradley" to do that.

There was apparently a big mix-up with this soldier's cremains. He is actually buried in Ogden and since no one had created a memorial for him there, I have moved the memorial to the correct location. Thanks for letting me know. Here is a link to what happened.

RE: Nieve, Brian
Mike:

If you'll check your pending edits, you should find 4 regarding Brian Neve - full date of death, links to parents, specific location within the cemetery, and middle name. That should help fill in the information on his memorial. If you want me to I can make another trip to the cemetery and take some additional photos of the area around his specific marker. I only photographed his marker to post for now. Let me know what else you would like to have. Also, I can transfer his memorial to you for management if you want it. He's not a relative of mine.

Just found his memorial.....are you family? I have been searching for him for about 2 years. If you have any info as to where I can find an obit for him or info of his daughter, I would appreciate knowing. Thank you for your help.

Would you still happen to be in this cemetery's area? I just placed a few new requests.
