I am Diana Moore Medina and I have been doing family ancestry since March of 2012, I came across findagrave.com and decided to look for relatives and add relatives. I also help with the Sabinal Cemetery. I am a descendant of four large families in Fredericksburg on my maternal grandmother's side, they are the Conrad & Karolina Ahrens family and the Peter & Elisabetha Alberthal family on one side and on the other it is the Heinrich & Sophie Borchers family and the Friedrich(Fritz)& Amalia Wilke Family on the other side. This is where a major part of my fascination came from. And then my other families also just fell in to place. Gillespie County has the best Genealogy out there!!!|
My other family names consist of the following: Moore, Horton, Burns,Taylor, Massengale, Truitt, Streib,Newberry, Brantley, Crumpton,Schmerfeld, Brandau, Burke,Shearer, Smith, Crissman, Montayne,Haire, Miller, Haas,Andres, Angermiller,Dollahite,Patterson, Brown, Halliburton,Hale,Santleben, Ricks,Santleben, Grossenbacher, Heuchling, Paul, Petefish & many more.
If I can help you out with research let me know, I love family ancestry!!!

I completed your photo request for John Golly. I confirmed with the cemetery office that his wife Marie K. Golly and infant child are buried next to him. Marie is listed at Find A Grave as being in St Mary's Catholic Cemetery, but it appears that the death certificate is incorrect and she is in fact in Sunset. You should be able to change the cemetery easily. There was no memorial for their infant, so I created one and transferred it to you.

I do not work St Mary's. A couple named Bill and Denise usually work that area. They take great photos and are pretty quick so you will be in good hands.

I am trying to take photos of all the headstones in Sunset. It is a huge effort and will take a long time. So, today I was out starting a new Section today. When I saw your request I recalled taking a photo of his headstone this afternoon (it is an uncommon name). Anyway, I checked the photos and sure enough, there he was. But, the headstone lists Marie K. Golly and infant in the next space. I see that Marie's dearth certificate indicates St Mary's and that is where she has a memorial on Find A Grave. So.......Where is she? I will check with the Sunset Office tomorrow to see what information they have.

I completed your photo request for John Powell, using a previously posted marker photo from Lillian Powell's memorial. I did not like Lillian's photo, so I enhanced it and added a close-up of her name. There is also another Powell in the same place that had a photo I did not like, but that photo would not enhance, so I will re-shoot it and post it in a couple of days.

You're welcome. Sorry it took so long.
Sorry, I changed something on my computer that it didn't like. One of the things it didn't like was the shortcut to send a message. I thought I got it through, but apparently not. Anyway, there is not headstone. The grave is one row beyond the tree and bench and one space to the left. It is in the center of the photo. Sorry I could not have ben more help.

I use to go to Sunset but another person likes to claims them. There are only two of us that go to the cemeteries out of town or the hard to find requests.
