I am kind of iffy on some of the numbers, but those are the names, and I have photos.
|Joan S.||Elisha Cook, Richard and Gussie Reynolds|
Hi Shirley - I went back to the Johnsonburg cemeteries today and looked for Elisha, Richard and Gussie (and her mother Mary Alice). I looked for them all in both cemeteries and again did not have any luck. There were two Cookes in the Christian cemetery - Whitfield C. and Emma L. Hart Cooke. There were three Cooks in the Methodist cemetery - Elizabeth, Nicholas and David Lemuel. If Elisha was related to either of these two families, maybe we can figure out which cemetery he should be in. I didn't find any Reynolds' in either cemetery. I'm sorry I couldn't help you further! Joan S.

Hi. Fountain Cemetery has an office on the Cemetery grounds that you could call if you wanted (number is on the main cemetery page) -or- I'd be happy to look up names for you in the transcriptions book I have of Fountain Cemetery. Unfortunately, nothing is really on-line yet for Fountain. The book was done from burial records as well, so is pretty complete through the mid 2000's. Let me know if I can help.

Yes, I noticed that too. Woodlawn Cemetery records online state that Lorenzo was only 55. It is sooo nice when you can find several family members all buried together.

I was there to see and find some family on my paternal grandmother's side. I printed the list of requests for the cemetery since I was going... it's the least I could do since I was there! We only had one name on the list we didn't find, but will probably go back to the area within the next month to a few more cemeteries, so we'll drop by and see if we can find it then. It's become a family thing with my husband and daughters. You're more than welcome!!
|Carol & David||RE: Prall, Roseberry, Raub|
You are welcome for the Caudill photo. I appreciated your help and quick response in obtaining the burial location. Once I knew what section it was in we found it rather quickly today. Most of the burials up to 1995 are in a cemetery book at our local library but he was not listed so I thought maybe an unmarked grave but obviously that was not the case. Your help allowed us to locate the grave site.
As far as the family members, my husband's paternal grandmother's maiden name was Hornbaker and they are from the Oxford, Warren County, NJ area. My maternal great grandmother's maiden name was Prall, and another maternal great grandmother's maiden name was Raub. My paternal great grandmother's maiden name was Roseberry and they are mostly from the Phillipsburg area. The Pralls & Raubs from Harmony & Belvidere, although I believe the original Raub was from the Raubsville area in Pennsylvania.
My husband and I were both born in the Harmony/Brainards NJ area.
