After 10 years of being part of Find A Grave, I've had to make some changes about what I do or not do as the site has grown so large. I am now keeping to Find A Grave's policy. Please see the "Help with Find A Grave" link on the left side of the page under Actions. This includes their policies on transfers, additions of Obits, and other pertinent info.
I will gladly transfer ownership of any memorial to a relative that falls within Find A Grave's guidelines - that is: sibling, parent, grandparent, great-grandparent, child, grandchild, great-grandchild.
PLEASE NOTE: At the top of every memorial in the right hand corner is an EDIT tab. Please use this tab to request additions, changes or transfers.
Find A Grave has over 100 million memorials and many names are duplicates. It takes time to find the correct memorial. Memos, notes, or requests left on my Member Page do not give me the appropriate information to make these changes.
Sorry this is so long but to answer frequently asked questions....
I am happy to add information from obituaries however, unless you are directly related to the person in the memorial, I will not add any information to a memorial that pertains to a living or possibly living individual in order to protect their privacy. This includes information from obituaries! This is keeping with FAG's policy.
Thanks so much for understanding,

I'm so glad that you are able to use those photos! I've forwarded this to my son, who is photographing this cemetery for his Eagle project. I think he will be happy to hear that his efforts were meaningful for you! I'm so glad you could get this documentation for your family tree! If you'd like to pass a note on to the troop feel free to send it to me.

You are very welcome. We love photographing and documenting the cemeteries, and learning we have helped family find family. I think Rachel should be placed in your care, so I am transferring her to you.

|Laurel Huggins Bailey||RE: Lydia (Wykert) Reynolds # 23411544|
Hi Sharon, this stone matched the Lydia Wykert in my family because her birth date of 16 Aug 1793 from Berks County, PA records is identical to the birth calculated from her death date. Also, I had information (not proven as of yet) that her first marriage was to a Samuel Parrot abt. 1813. 2nd marriage to Thomas Reynolds (proven). The Wykert family moved from Berks Co., PA and settled in Marshal Co., WV.

I see them now. Sorry!

Would you happen to have the pictures take of the cemetery in the 70's?

Sorry about my edit for Sabine. Please disregard.

Just wanted to let you know that the picture you have on there for Hannah Doty Gatts is actually the stone for their daughter, Hannah E. Gatts, who died young. You can find a picture of Hannah Doty Gatts at this site: http://www.lrp.usace.army.mil/Portals/72/docs/regulatory/FOIA/AmElectric/AppD/1%20-%20Phase%20I%2011-52001_Gatts_Ridge_Rev_Draft%20(12.5.11).pdf
The land on which the cemetery is located is going to become a landfill. That is why this report was done. Thanks!
|Janet Eiler||RE: Ella Marble LeRoy updates|
Looks like Ella was still alive when Merritt died on April 30, 1942. Merritt died in Florence, Lauderdale Co, Alabama. He is listed as being married, not widowed. Her name is misspelled Flla Merritt (Source: Alabama Death & Burial Index, 1881-1974)
In the 1940 Census they are both alive and living in Florence as well. No hits under LeRoy but found them under Le Roy.
Fred Ross has her in his tree as being Ella Grace (Marble) LeRoy and her birthdate is 20 Dec 1867 in WI and she died 6 Mar 1957 in Los Angeles, CA.
(All info found in Ancestry.com)
I neglected to fully read your notes next to the request and did not take a picture of the small stone with "mother" on it but I did read the stone. Besides the word mother the name Matilda Guild is on the back. There are no dates and as you look at the grave picture on Matilda's memorial, you will note a small stone to the back and right of it. That is the small stone in question. To the left and hidden by the grave in the photo is the one for Joel Guild.
