I currently live in San Antonio, Texas. I'm very interested in researching my family and my wife's family genealogy. I'm primarily interested in Sparkman and Miller in East Texas, Michel and Crowley in Wisconsin, and Moore in Louisiana. I spend as much time as I can walking the hallowed ground of Civil War battlefields, National Cemeteries, and my family cemeteries. During my search I take hundreds of photos and I post many of them on find a grave. If any of these photos are of a family member of yours, and you would like to take over management of their memorials I would be happy for you to do so.
RE: Jewel Stinson Bridges Hello John, I have no knowledge of what happened to Ethel Mae Hill Stinson after the 1940 Census. I have always assumed that she and Dewey Stinson divorced. He later remarried.
Also, could you please mention Ethel in the bio section, as well as Jewel's brother, Julian Stinson, who died in 1991. There is no memorial for him at the present time, but I will create one if I can find his obit in my files. He is buried in a National (Military) Cemetery on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
RE: Emma Nielsen We are with you in the honoring of those that gave their lives one way or another in service to our country and that includes the wives of soldiers/sailers/marines. Emma Nielsen was the wife of a career non commisioned officer, I can't imagine the hardship of living post to post in Emma's era. My husband is a Vietnam combat veteran - military service and its costs are very real to us. Keep on honoring those you find that are forgotten, we do the same. Thanks! Jude
Emma Nielsen I added pictures to your memorial #87012040 for Emma Nielsen wife of Master Sergeant Albert Nielson. The Nielson's must have been close friends with my 2nd Great Grandparents John L and Caroline Rohlfing, because the photos of the Nielson's were among the other treasured family photos. The Nielsons attended my 2nd Gr Grandmother's funeral in 1917 as attested to in her obituary. Any questions I am member #47128010.
Regarding Mildred Cleghorn's monument photo Hello! John, I am sorry for the inconvenience. I wasn't aware that the request was still open. There are two memorials made and when I was a 3 month new member I posted a bio for her on Phil and Donna Strickland's memorial. The correct cemetery memorial had not been created yet. Trapper John notified me, I notified Phil and Donna and the memorials are both still on there. I don't know if the person who created the memorial in the correct cemetey has done anything to pursue this matter. He would probably have to go to administration to get this straightened, and that is a big hassle. So again, I am sorry if you went the distance for a photo, I hope that you had an enjoyable time when you were in that area. Sincerely, Janet Milburn #47529757
