A Philly native transplanted to Manassas, VA. (Mom's side of the family was North and Dad's was South.) I grew up in the Frankford section of Philly, very close to three large cemeteries. |
I am not related to, nor have further information regarding, most of the names that I have added to this site. The information comes from a variety of sources, including interment records, obituaries, and tombstone inscriptions.
I am always happy to update/correct records that I have added to the site with verifiable information/resources.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are requesting transfer of a memorial to you, please explain the reason for the transfer. I am under no obligation to transfer a memorial I have added to findagrave and reserve the right to refuse any request. Thank you.

Hi, thanks for posting my 3rd great grandfather. On the posting you mentioned an obit in the Philadelphia Inquirer in 1901. I'd love to have a copy of it. Right now I live in Knoxville, Tenn. but my mother lives in Lancaster, Pa and several of my cousins still live in the Philly area. I wonder if its online. I am a member of Ancestry.com but I haven't seen it. Thanks for anything you can do.

Thanks for making those edits I requested so promptly for siblings Ruth and Kenneth Groetzinger. I made those edit requests the last thing before going to bed late last night. Imagine my surprise to find them completed when I checked my email this morning. Also thanks for the (also prompt) transfer of John Salter's memorial to me, and for all you do for Find A Grave.

I am requesting a transfer to me for the above child who died of scarlet fever. There is a huge clan in Northwood Cemetery stemming from John and Catherine Rebmann, also buried there. I have many notes over the years of my research and am in contact with cousins from this John Rebmann who was a brother to my Anna Rebmann, my great great grandmother. I now have time to put all these people in find a grave in retirement. I have grave photos of most plots. I can link people to other cemeteries in Phila.
I grew up in West Oak, Northwood is not so far from Hatfield where I now live.
I appreciate your willingness to transfer this child so I can easily link all her family together.
This is the culmination of a huge body of work over the years! A wonderful way to put history for posterity. Thank you for your efforts.

For Jennie R. Kyle, you cite:
"Phila. Inquirer, 08/24/1893
beloved wife of Matthew Kyle"
Do you have a copy of this that you can share, or point to where I can find it?

Thank you, CGL, for your work. I believe that JAMES T. WESLEY in Mt. Auburn Cemetery may be my kin. Would you be able to share more info with me, so that I might be able to confirm? Thank you for your consideration.
