I am a professional photographer and genealogist (over 50 years), and long time historian of Coleman County, Texas (over 40 years). Over 20 years ago, I, along with my wife, Judia, and Vena Bob Gates, published all of the marked grave inscriptions in Coleman County, Texas in the 3 volume, "Coleman County Cemetery Inscriptions." I also have these records online at www.colemanhistory.com.|
Judia and I both continue to visit cemeteries, but I do all the computer work. Judia is an artist and does not relate to computers ... she is soooo lucky!
I have welcomed FindAGrave to help carry on what myself, my wife and others are doing to keep local history information available and not forgotten. I began in the middle of March 2011 adding burials that have not been added for Coleman County.
I look forward to hearing from anyone interested in the cemeteries and history of Coleman County. Ralph Terry, Coleman, Texas.

Hello Ralph, two of Andrews sisters, Amanda & Nancy married two of my great uncles, James & William D. Little. I have in my genealogy notes that Andrew had a wife and two children who were killed in a horse & buggy accident prior to his fighting at the Alamo. Do you know anything about this story?

|Katherine Montgomery||Re: Robert Montgomery 1955|
Thank you for the additional information on Robert Montgomery. This is indeed my husband's father and we are so glad to have found him. My husband is now disabled and has to use a wheelchair, but we plan to try to visit as soon as we can manage it. Thank you again and we so appreciate your dedication and effort in providing this service.

Mr. Terry, I saw you were also a genealogy, we are trying to locate my husband's father's grave.
We know his name was Robert Montgomery and he died in Texas. My husband, also named Robert Montgomery, thought the he lived and died in Jefferson, Tx. He was not a part of my husbands life, just sporadic visits. We think he was born in 1916 or 1917, not 100% sure of death year except it was around 1955. We were wondering if in your searches any other information was available on this Robert. We would love to visit his grave if this is him. This is the only Robert Montgomery I found with the death date in the right year range. Thanks for you dedication and hard work in listing and photographing these grave sites. It is much appreciated and very helpful. Thanks again, Katherine and Robert Montgomery

My Grandmother, Freeda Duncan Kilgore, will have her cremated remains laid to rest March 7, 2014 at the Coleman Cemetery. Also, we will have her beloved husband, Larry Kilgore placed with her at this time.

Ralph, Thank you so much for the great photograph you took in Crosbyton Cemetery of my great grand aunt, Charity Ray.

Thank you, Ralph, for the photo. I followed this family after taking Maudy Lee Ray's gravestone picutre. There were five children and they are represented well on Find A Grave. I noticed they were all buried in different cemeteries. Thank you for completing the gravestone pictures. That was exciting.
