|Any pictures I have posted please feel free to use in your ancestry trees. I don't need credit. Most photos are passed down through family. I feel we are all interested in what our ancestors looked like or what their grave looks like. I know I am. If I could I would link my Memorials back to Adam and Eve. I love it when I see a new family member show up on the family links on one of my memorials. |
I know it's important to add all the names we can to Find A Grave. Yet, we as contributors need to be mindful that the dead we are listing has or had family that grieved their loss. They lived, worked to provide for their family and most importantly, they loved. After all it's called a Memorial. When I research a name I have added to this site I feel connected to the person. I want to make the best memorial I can for them.
I have added a virtual cemetery called Sunset Babies. I'm photographing and adding the baby section at Sunset Memorial Park. My objective is to reunite the babies to their family members.
If you have any information or corrections for a memorial I manage I will be happy to update. if I have a family member of yours i'm not related to I will gladly transfer the Memorial.
Note: Please use the edit function or leave a public message to contact me.
I will not respond to rude people!
I have added Memorials to Find A Grave out of respect for the person who has passed and for genealogy purposes. I have spent money on gas to go to cemeteries, for information, took the time to take photos of their graves and looked up obituaries, death records, etc.
That is why I will not respond to rude people!
To my friends on Find A Grave:
I appreciate all the information and help you have provided me with. There is Robert Fitch, Doris Aliff, Sandy Littlejohn who photograph cemeteries that would be lost without them. If you need to find a cemetery location they usually have the answer.
Floyd Lanny Martin who gave me information and help from Texas. Bonita who talks to the graves as I do., Pj who has linked too many times to count, Nina Thomas who links and asks if you are related and offers to transfer, Gary Aikin who has been so generous providing me with pictures and information on my family.
My mentor Dolores Carlson who taught me how important obituaries are to memorials. She answered all my numerous questions and guided me through FAG when I first joined. I would do anything for her. There are so many wonderful people I have been in contact with on FAG who has linked and gave me information to make my memorials better. I want to Thank you for all you do!!!

I am planning my trip to Charleston, QV and contacted the cemetery about the grave location for the Arnolds. They told me they have no record of them being interred in Spring Hill cemetery. I suspect this is a paperwork issue and hope you have the grave locations. If so, could you share them with me/

Thank you so much for posting this - she has been a mystery for our family for quite some time.

I FOUND HIS MOTHER. HER NUMBER IS 36405772. I THOUGHT YOU MIGHT WANT TO BE THE ONE TO ASK FOR AN ATTACHMENT. I SEE HIS FATHER WAS SQUIRE. DO YOU KNOW HIS REAL NAME. LOOKING FOR MORE INFO.
No problem at all.
Great working with you!

Thanks for all the kind comments,
I was just informed to make his WWII Naval rank the equivalent of today's ranking system. That would make his rank PO2 (Petty Officer 2nd Class). I can live with that. At least the sailor has his honor properly represented.
BTW:I am working with the Navy Yard to get some type of Obit info.
Thanks for all you do!

Wow, I am amazed to find a family member of this honored sailor!
Actually, I have contacted the family members of a survivor of the Kiten attack of the USS Mississinewa and they are always helpful with assisting with identification of crew members of the ship.
The site that perpetuates the memory of these sailors is: www.ussmississinewa.com. Can you identify him from a crew photo? There is one on the site with many crew members that have not been identified as of yet. It is downloadable on the site. Any help that I can offer will be sent to you as soon as I get verification on it.
Ron Fulleman, the son of a crewman is Webmaster.
They have some photos and possibly other documents that may help you to identify S2C Kirk. Just let him know that you got his contact info from me and I'm sure that they will do whatever is possible.
You have a new friend. Much thanks for all that you do!
My public email address is email@example.com.

Thank you for taking the pictures of the Mann family graves. I think the pics turned out quite nice.

Thank you very much for the transfer of this family member of my husband's family to me.
|Linda Key||RE: Dorothy louise Dunbar|
Yes they had the same last name. Wallace is the son of George Dunbar and Adwilda Mahala Stoglin. George and Sylvanus were brothers, which makes Dorothy and Wallace first cousins :-( Let me do more research to make sure but I'm almost positive this is right.
