My name is Joan Shoffner|
I have lived all my life in Sidney,Ohio
I have been searching for my Family for 10 years.My Husband would go along with me to the cemetery. I take a lot of tombstone picture and put them on Find a Grave so that other people can find there family member.
*From Find a Grave's Help Page:
Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations, this would be your great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, or siblings. Aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. do not fall into this category. Bulk surname requests should not be made
you can use my tombstone and personal picture just ask.

|Pat Gardner||Hattie Pence Dobbs #64438315|
There is an error on her memorial. She was never married to Fernando Pence. Pence is her maiden name, daughter of Abraham Pence #62986967 and Mary Jane Loudenback #62986930. The wife of Fernando Pence was a Hattie N. Shroyer. From what I can discover in doing research, they may have divorced, as I find her later married to a Forsythe and Cecil Pence is living with them on a census and listed as a step-son. This census is much later than the 1912 death year of Hattie Pence Dobbs. Hattie was born and died in Shelby Co., Ohio.
I hope this makes some sense and you can straighten out the memorial. I didn't want to just change her name as there is more to be done in removing Fernando as a spouse.

May I please have permission to use your photos of Pearl Cemetery and the grave marker for George and Vivian Warburton on my ancestry.com family tree? Thanks for taking the photos and for your consideration. Gwen

Thanks, Joan! I appreciate that, and will keep looking for clues about the Brannum family. Find-A-Grave is really an amazing resource. Genealogists must hold themselves to requiring proof or compelling evidence, though! Posting erroneous conclusions that others pick up as fact is a bit of a problem. Keep up the wonderful work identifying and photographing graves.

|Donna Monnier||Croker Family - Greenlawn Cemetery, Versailles, OH|
I'm not sure how to fix the following correction. I created a memorial for William Croker, but you created the memorial for Minerva Jane Croker. I'm going to post the correction on William's memorial under the biography and try to fix what I can. The correction was left as a message to me from PJ Monroe. Here is the message:
Someone has the Croker family mixed up. Minerva Jane Hole married William H. Croker 14 Jun 1882 in Montgomery County, Ohio. They raised six children and can be found on the 1900 census in Versailles, Ohio. William moved into the IOOF Home in Springfield, Clark, Ohio 16 Aug 1909. Jane is head of household in 1910 w/ Frank and Vernon at home listed as Divorced. Jane is in 1920 census, alone, listed as Widowed. William died 28 Apr 1917 in the home due to exhaustion from attempt to commit suicide by hanging. He was born 11 Jun 1847/8 and buried in Ferncliff Cemetery, Springfield, Clark, Ohio.
I hope this helps to straighten out this family.
