Bio and Links
Bio Photo A little ring encompasses our lives and many generations link the rings of theirs, thus forming a chain that is without end. -Goethe

I've opened my "messages" back up. This doesn't entitle anyone to be disrespectful, which is why I closed it. If it happens, your message will go directly to FAG Administrator's. The message feature will be closed.

Walking the cemeteries, learning the history of those who have passed gives one a sense of accomplishment. I love every moment. I've transcribed Mound in Pike Co. OH. for many years. I also transcribe Gardner in Pike Co., Harmon in Scioto, Blanton Branch in Johnson Co., KY, as well as other cemeteries in Clark, Green, Highland, Pike, Ross, Scioto & Johnson Co.. KY. I've taken pictures of headstone's, gone back a few years later & couldn't make them out. The elements are hard on the old one's. I'm in this because Genealogy is my passion. It has been for 37 years and will be until someone is taking a picture of my stone.

I'm also very glad to transfer. I have a strong belief family should manage family, be it a recent death or four generations past but I won't transfer my BLANTON Memorial's. I've researched the Blanton's for 37 years this Sept. I've labored hard & long, visited many states, counties, court houses & cemeteries. You might as well say I've researched them half my life. I'll be glad to add info to their memorial's but I won't transfer them.

Please don't post obituaries/bio's to flower/note section or correct me there. Edit & send. I will make the changes. If not I create a new memorial without the info posted to the p/n section. Send as many as you want. I'm glad to do this. Credit is always given.

I also follow FAG policy by omitting the living from obituaries & not posting pictures I did not take. I'm slowly removing the living & pictures from obituaries I previously posted.

Feel free to upload your photo's or certificate's. They are very much welcome. I value anything that shows history of the deceased.

If I've created a duplicate, "duplicate" is all that's required by FAG. I add duplicate #, date originated & by who. I'm more than glad to remove duplicates. It's never done intentionally.

I also try to never post the living. Because a stone has two names, doesn't mean both are deceased. Someone made a memorial for one of my "very alive" cousins. The spouse had passed but not my cousin. This is also against FAG policy.

Lastly, a member once told me FAG thought the memorials should open like a book. I agree. It can't if you don't link the families. They should be linked in death as they were in life.

Lord, help me dig into the past
And sift the sands of time
That I might find the roots that made
This family tree of mine.
Lord, help me trace the ancient road
On which my fathers trod
And led them through so many lands
To find our present sod.
Lord, help me find an ancient book
Or dusty manuscript
That's safely hidden now away
In some forgotten crypt.
Lord, let it bridge the gap that haunts
My soul when I can't find
The missing link between some name
That ends the same as mine.

I did go back into Find A Grave and corrected the mistake of entering her parents. I usually only enter birth and death info that I have. I do have the info on her parents but I entered it incorrectly. I know how to enter that info also but goofed on that one - momentary memory lapse?

Sorry about that I. I just noticed that they had his father as both his father and child. Thanks.

Thelma Washburn
Thank you for updating Thelma Washburn's memorial to include her name and link her to her parents. So sad to think that she died as an infant and hadn't been identified on her gravestone. I appreciate all the work you do on your memorials.

Kenneth Walter Wilburn
Thank you for your time and work you have invested. My father Kenneth Walter Wilburn. Past away from pancreatic cancer. He was told he had this after they thought it was walking phnomonia and gall stones in August of 1985 and said he had 3 months to live he made it 4 months. He had three sons Terry Wilburn, Hank Wilburn and me the youngest Matt Wilburn. He was a metal fabricated at Grove City's TPC at the time of death. His wife our mom is Lula Smith. He loved the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals and Buckeyes fan. And tough as nails 6'4 264 lbs hands like concrete.

Thank you so much for posting the photo of the tombstone and the obit of Wavie Ruth McCurdy Miller. She was the daughter of John Clinton McCurdy who was the brother of Aaron Calvin McCurdy. Aaron was my husband's great-grandfather.
If I had known she was living in Peebles I would have stopped by. I was so sorry to have missed her especially as I have been driving through Peebles for over two years now and would have loved to stop and talk about the McCurdy family.
Thanks again for all your work.
