Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a native of Cabell County, WV, born and raised, and a 1998 graduate of Marshall University with a BSN in nursing. I have been blessed with 3 children and 8 beautiful grandchildren.
Of all the things I take pleasure with, genealogy is my passion. It has been my hobby for over 25 years. In 1997, I volunteered to coordinate the Cabell County, WVGenWeb at Rootsweb.com. I can't post the cemeteries I've read fast enough on FindAGrave.
Most of my entries on FAG were done before they added the update to link parents and spouse. I work on adding this information every day. Please DO NOT take the photos I've posted and add them to your family tree on Ancestry.com. These are my photos and taking them without my permission is stealing and against the law. Please do no post death certificate taken from WV Culture web site to my entries on FAG.

Marie and Bruce Newell
Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens
Hi Candie,
We respectfully request permission to use the entrance photo in our personal tree. Bruce has a cousin interred there and the photo will make a great addition to our tree.

Thanks for your consideration.

Infant Memorial #118977717
Dear Candie: I am fairly new at Ancestry.com and FindAGrave.com. Reading your Profile page you said you did not want your pictures taken and put on other people's trees. On the Infant Memorial you created you have your picture of the Cemetery you took. A green leaf brought it to my Ancestry.com tree with your picture. Is it okay that I keep it with your permission?

I am searching the mother of this infant who is Della Griffith, died 17 May 1921, dying from complications of these stillborn births. Family records say she had twin girl stillborns. I see only one infant being buried on that date in that cemetery. This little infant was named Marjorie Griffith, born two days before the burial date which was 22 May 1920. Her parents were Carson Griffith (born in Kentucky) and Della Young Griffith (born in Kentucky; died 17 May 1921, Huntington, Cabell Co, West Virginia).

I do not know what cemetery Della Griffith was buried in. I have a 1978 copy of the death record from the State of West Virginia for Della Griffith and for the stillborn infant named Marjorie Griffith, but they do not give the information about the burial. I also have a death certificate for the Stillborn infant named Marie Griffith. Why would one infant be buried in one certain cemetery and not the other? Any suggestions of what I might do next? Carson and Della Griffith are my children's great grandparents through their father's line(he is a Griffith)
Sincerely Nancy Foutz Griffith R. (nmbrwunyun@gmail.com)

Sam Goodman
Thanks Candie for your information on Sam Goodman. I made the memorial about 10 years ago and continued to search for answers on where he was buried but kept hitting road blocks.
If there is another memorial I will see that it could be linked up with the other memorial. Thanks soooo much again.

Mary Ann Barbour Yoho
Hello! 😀 I am doing a school project about my ancestors and I was wondering if you could help me find out some things about Mary Ann and her parents. Quick tip ( her maiden name is baker, not Barbour) other than that all the info was right. She was my great grandmother! 😊

Question about memorial 5762829
Hey Candie, Pam here....

For the memorial for Arvil Simms buried on the Spencer Mullins lot in Milton Cemetery, can you clarify the death date, maybe?

The date at the top of the page was entered as 1938, but the inscription that was transcribed (no picture) says 1932...thanks much in advance!

I was trying to locate a death record, but couldn't find one. His mother Rose had changed her name back to Mullins in the 1930 census. I'm trying to figure out if Rose Mullins Jackson in the same cemetery might have been his mother remarrying, but there are no parents listed in that marriage record...well, I'm rambling and confusing the initial issue......just a clarification of death date, if you might?

Thanks for all your hard work on these memorials!

Thanks,
Pam
