I've been into genealogy for some 50 years and have never lost interest in helping myself and others find their roots. I find it a huge mystery game with many surprising discoveries.|
TRANSFER REQUESTS: Please request if you are really a relative and will do something constructive with the memorial. If you are just a close friend, etc., the same goes for you. I will never refuse a request for valid reasons.
CORRECTIONS: additions, & family links when asked but no promises if you just send me an email instead of using the edit link. Use the Edit tab at the top right of memorial, then the Suggest A Correction option. Now we have the auto edit request and permission ability so that makes it easier. You can upload your pictures directly to the memorials, but PLEASE take pride on what you enter. Photos should be carefully composed and submitted with the highest resolution that FAG will accept.

Please change the entry to the spelling above. Your entry spells her first name as Josphine. Thanks for your help.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! For giving me our Great Great Grandparents! And I did not think of adding my own number to make it easier. So thank you for that information also! We really do appreciate your kindness and I have a big smile on my face as I write this! Wonderful!

Lucy and James are our Great Great Grandparents. I would love to be able to have them to care for. To have them with our family. If you aren't related would you let me have them? It's important to my family.
Thank you for your hard work, helping families find family. A lot of us don't or can't travel to distant places to find our families graves. This sight has made a world of difference for all of us looking for our families. I am so happy to see Lucy and James here! Thank you!

Rev Andrew Porter Scott is posted twice on Find A Grave in different cemeteries. Same dates of birth and death. Could it be that he was moved? This message is going to both of you who posted it.

I am doing research on my former husband's family. I see you have a memorial for Nancy Turnbough Young. My husband grew up in Longview Washington and I am researching the Turbough's of that area. I am not familiar with Nancy. Do you know who her parents are? Any information would be helpful. Thank you so much.
|Sharon Gerber||Mary Brockman transfer request|
My main reasons for requesting transfer are: I live in this tiny town where Mary grew up & she is important to me. I have the names/dates of her children & other relatives, which will be added by me, eventually...since I am just now getting back to Find a Grave & Ancestry, since my Mom passed away. During the time I took care of my Mom, several came thru' town & added our cemetery, which I had intended to do, but was told by some here that they didn't really want their family on the internet. I don't want all of them transferred to me. Hopefully, only the ones who are related or with whom our families had close connections. Mary's brother was also my Uncle, besides being my Grandmother's best friend & my friend from grade schools Grandmother. Not that you are, but I'm seeing more people in Find a Grave who are more in a "competition" to collect Memorials...than who are intested in helping people who know & love someone maintain them, which is the heart of F.a.G. There are so many to keep maintained, especially from large families around farmtowns, I don't know why anyone would even want to add all of that info..just to keep a Memorial. I would appreciate any contact to me be done by email. That's why I have it on my board. Thanks.
You wrote me; This is a copy of my memorial, 41244091, I made earlier. It would be more appropriate if you added your info and photo to mine and deleted yours. I don't know if you have duplicated others, but you should check before adding memorials. It helps everyone.
We have worked together before Smilydino and I remember the attitude.
Before I add a tombstone and a new memorial on Find A Grave I assure you I check to see if there is already a memorial and yes, sometimes I miss, but never ever intentionally. I am not after memorials, but verification that some one is buried there by their tombstone.
If you will look at the memorial I made you will see the name is spelled exactly as written on the tombstone. I possibly missed yours 4 years ago because you do not have the name spelled as on the tombstone. So when I looked to see if there was a memorial yours did not show up. Also I do not add memorials unless I have a tombstone to prove it.
Most people just let others know of a duplicate. I am sorry your memorial was overlooked, your different spelling could have been the problem.

I am so sorry for the confusion! When I looked at the memorial again, obviously it has all the information I was looking for. I think what happened is I was looking at other family members and picked up on the fact that Agnes is not buried there, as well as somehow totally missing Mr. Boyce's connection. I was also up late and doing a ton of research. Thanks for putting it all together, I do appreciate knowing where she is and the family connections!

Any idea where the Boyce comes in? I thought perhaps she was married before, but not sure. Any thoughts?

This is the lady that I met! My father remembered her first name. You have that her burial is unknown, so I'm assuming her stone is just sort of a memorial? I met her in 1981, so she was 85, but you would have never known. She hadn't lost a memory as far as I could tell. Thanks for helping to complete the circle, I had always wanted to know more about her and the family, quite the story!
