|Bio and Links|
I grew up in NE Iowa, but have lived in the south suburbs of Chicago since 1958.|
I have been doing genealogy since 1998 and I am researching the families of: Lowell, Stamm, Burr, Wigal, Platt, Weed, Lamphier/Lamphear, Mazzocca, DeNardo/DiNardo, and DeNovellis.
If you find any errors in my info, please let me know so I can fix them. I will gladly transfer any memorial that is not my relative. I am also willing to add any links or additional information you may have.
Your tombstone stand among the rest,
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care:
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist,
You died, and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse,
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

Hi! Thanks for asking! I'm totally new to the Find a grave service, so I must admit that I don't know the meaning of having the family transferred to me. Can you please describe what it means?
|Janet F Cole||RE: Catherine|
Yes, please transfer. She is not my direct line, but is a sister of my G-G Grandmother Anna Gudenkauf. I can manage her memorial until a closer relative wishes to manage it. Janet
Hope you are having a wonderful new year. I just wanted to say "hi" and let you know that I still think of you often. Hope you had a nice Easter.

Thank You for the Caskey transfers I would like them all from that cemetery. I'll do the info and links to the family members. If any family member or you want them back I will transfer back after I am done. My tour of the cemetery is in June (13?) but the date is not confirmed with another group yet. I received some ancestry info from a distant relative and there was a photo album with their pictures that ended up in San Francisco...... Trying to get the album forwarded to the Chicago Heights Library for their archive. The photo album is now in New York!

If you are not related to George J. Hermann and Elizabeth Hermann, would you mind transferring them to me? Thank you for your time, and for adding their memorials.

|H S B||Steffen, more info|
just wanted to add that these are not my ancestors, so I do not want them transferred to me. I believe Wilhelm "William" S. Steffen was the person who wrote to my great-great-great-grandfather, Stehan Hutter, urging him to come to the US with his family from Bavaria.

|H S B||Steffen family duplicates|
here is an example of just two of the duplicates:
and his wife, Mary Elizabeth (Feldage Venk)
I am trying to link William and Mary's children; Henry, William, Theodore, Anton, Theresa (Kluesner), John Henry, Herman H
the records you added are about 9 years after they were already on. To complicate things, one is listing them in St Boniface Cemtery and the other in Holy Trinity, so I'm really not sure what all the issues are or the best way to fix, either a merge or deleting & adding missing info to the other memorial page? I'm not even certain which cemetery has the actual burial?

|Lori Milam||Bloomvale Cemetery|
Hi, I don't know if anyone got back to your question about this cemetery. The cemetery is located correctly on the map and you are correct about the railroad tracks across the street. This cemetery is completely overgrown now and on private property closed by a fence. It is completely inaccessible as of this report. Unless someone can find another way in this might be another lost cemetery. I plan on contacting the village to see if anything can be done about it.
