Please take the time to read Find A Grave FAQs. From the FAQs: "Any non-direct relatives (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc) are not required to be transferred."
Also, Find A Grave, not us, have set the Guidelines. We did not set the Guidelines, but we do abide by them.
As stated on the Find a Grave rules and regulations Photos posted to memorials on Find A Grave are copyrighted by the member who submitted the photos. Zachariah Taylor Wolfe Could you please change the cemetery for Zachariah? He is in section D of Lehighton Cemetery. The background is evidence of that as that is the Moravian mass burial ground, part of Lehighton cemetery. If you give me your email address I will send you a map of the two cemeteries. Thank you for your time.
Salem "Big Moore" vs. Christ "Little Moore" For Find A Grave Memorial # 117128725 is buried in Christ "Little Moore" Cemetery at 913 S. Mink Road, Danielsville. Salem "Big Moore" Cemetery is on Route 946, Moorestown. To further distinquish between the two cemeteries, Christ "Little Moore" was formerly called Dieter's Cemetery. If you look carefully in the record book online, you will find that the records for these two churches are all jumbled into one book. While it is very confusing, it is not impossible to distinquish the two if you look at the beginning of the sections. This John Anthony referred to in the above mentioned memorial is a brother to my great-grandfather. The common ancestor we both share are Thomas and Levina (Reb-Reph) Anthony, my 2nd great-grandparents.
Caroline Boyer Hi... Thank you for your note. I always appreciate when folks ask for a source. There is a small book "The Memoirs of Rev. Joshua Yeager" in the Bethlehem Room of the main Bethlehem library. Since this might not be convenient for you, I will be happy to email the page to you, as I took digitals. Rev. Joshua Yeager was the son of Rev. Conrad Yeager, both Lutheran pastors who dedicated their lifetimes to the ministry. As other pastors he served several churches at once, and his record book designates with a symbol the church where the record belongs. It may just be my error here, but will check for you, and will be happy to send the page. Boyer and Boger are both common names. The book is printed in a German style script, both in English and in German. (I have the English pages!) Use my email and we will sort this out. Pat D.
RE: Anthony's buried in Salem Union Cemetery, Moorestown Until the administrators get around to merging them I suggest moving them to the correct cemetery so the administrators aren't confused as to which cemetery they belong in. Otherwise some might end up being in one cemetery and some in the other depending on which memorials are older.
Anthony's buried in Salem Union Cemetery, Moorestown You have several members of the Anthony Family buried in Salem Union Church Cemetery, Moorestown, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. They are in the wrong cemetery. They are buried in Christ Church Little Moore Cemetery, Danielsville, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.
Please move them to the correct cemetery where you will find someone else has created memorials for the exact same people. To eliminate the duplicates I suggest emailing the F.A.G. administrators and have the duplicates merged.
Salem Union Church Cemetery was thoroughly photographed and posted in 2011-2012.
Yes, the Laurytown Poor Farm cemetery, the Laurytown Road Cemetery and the Middle Coalfield Almshouse are all the same. It appears to be located in Weatherly, which at one time may have been Rockport. I'm not an expert on the area, however the map indicated Weatherly when I visited the cemetery. It is surrounded by farmland. My Great Grandfather is buried there in an unmarked grave and it's my understanding that all records were destroyed when the Poor House burned down. I could not find any remains of a building or foundation near the cemetery. I wish I had more information for you, it's such a sad mystery.
Sick of this First of all, I deleted my contact information because of you but you must have saved it so you can harass me again. This is the second time you've contacted me about these damn pictures. I don't want to hear it. The only thing you're doing is pissing me off. That is not to your benefit. I've report YOU to ancestry for harassment along with the ALL the emails you sent me in 2 months about some stupid pictures. I've also written a letter to the corporate office along with all the harassing emails from you too.
Here's a clue. Listen carefully because this picture nonsense has gotten way out of hand and this will be the last time I explain this. Copyright protection from ancestry and findagrave is only to remind people to be considerate of others when uploading information. If people don't transfer memorials or take a picture of yours without giving you credit they don't care. They canít do anything from a legal standpoint. So donít think that the word copyright infringement is some big legal term that we have to follow. In the world that those words do apply in, do not include ancestry and findagrave members. The only thing thatís probably trademarked are the words ancestry and findagrave, otherwise, thatís it.
Think about this for a moment. Do you really think your pictures are so important to them, that they will suspend someoneís membership for it? Of course, they care, but they can't do anything about it, because it it's on the internet it is on public domain and the pictures do not belong to them, they canít copyright them and neither can you. These sites are only used from research purposes. If the copyright laws actually applied they wouldnít have a business because thatís how we all get information about our families, by sharing.
If you want to get detailed, those pictures arenít copyrighted by you either. The originators are your ancestors, not you. So just because youíre a family member and are in possession of family pictures only means that you have family pictures that were shared with you. When you post them do you take credit for them or do you give credit to the person who took them? Same thing. Letís say someone took a picture off of findagrave and put it on ancestry. The originator will be them. Who do you think is going to research the owner of the picture to give them credit. Nobody does that. You know why? Because nobody cares. Only people with huge egos worry about that and they're are quite a few of them on findagrave including you. Weíre all family doing the same thing, sharing information with other family members. So get a grip. The only people taking these pictures are people that share the same descents as you. So why should you be the holier than thou person who gets credit for pictures that you didnít take in the first place and no one else in the family is allowed to because you have them they are suddenly copyrighted? If a person has pictures of your family and posted them, and itís not their family, they just created the memorial, then MAYBE you can tell them that the copyright rules apply here, even if they donít really, but no one else wants those pictures other than family. So whatís your problem? You donít share with your family? Who does that?
If family is that important to you, then you should want to share your photos. Whatís the big deal if you donít get credit for them? Thereís no special prize for the most pictures. Maybe if you speak to people nicely you might get credit for the pictures they have. Threatening people with copyright infringement and reminding people that they will be suspended is your approach? I told you this before, but you seem to think your approach is working. How is that working for you? Because I happen to know that you have NOT gotten a positive response to this approach. Iíve seen the responses. You havenít learned from that. If you would have asked me nicely I would have easily given you the memorials. I would have even deleted mine so you can enter them yourself if that made you feel better. But even after telling you 3 times about your approach and that you need to ask nicely, you still quoted this copyright nonsense. If you are going to be nasty and try the authoritative approach with people, you will not get anything you ask for. What might happen is, if you keep up this harassment with people, and YOU are the one being continuously reported for harassment, you very well might be ďsuspended.Ē
Oh, and by the way, indianland roots means nothing to me. Besides unless you were born in 1884 and live in Hillside Cemetery in Rhode Island, then you didn't tell me anything. You have my name? DO NOT CONTACT ME ANYMORE. I DONíT CARE WHO YOU ARE OR WHAT YOUR NAME IS!!! Let me save you the trouble, you will not get credit for any picture I have and you will not get the memorials that are in my name. They are my family too and I have just as much right to the as you think you do. PERIOD!!! Now go report it. You have my information.
