Thanks so much for all you do!!!
Thank you so much for you efforts.Most of my Chatels immigrated to Canada and the name was spelled several ways,Chatel,Shettle,Chatelle.Francois Joseph Chate was born in France as Im certian his family(parents ect)where.Eventually he came to the US and then the spelling became Shuttle.Im still digging and will eventually find them.
Hi Doc Wilson.My name is Lori Shuttle-Dalley and Im in search of my Chatel ancestors.I believe my ggg grandfather Francois joseph Chatel was born in France and that Paul Henri Chate may be an ancestor also.Can you tell me any more about him as I see you are the caretaker of his Find A Grave page.Thank you so much.
Thank you for the permission and info on the pictures; they are quite helpful. I will use the attribution you listed for the pictures we re-post.
We have actually set up pages for all the men in the Bell Tower on Ancestry and linked them together as a single tree. We are trying to keep their Military Pages and their Find A Grave pages in sync and linked where we can. The more we can put online the better chance we catch the eye of a relative or someone with more information.

|Sharon S||George W. Cumming & wife|
Note: on his stone his name is spelled with one 'm'.
I included the stone that is beside him for Harriet Sherwood which records her as the 'widow of George William Cumming'.
His death date and age agree with what you have put on his memorial.
If you agree that Harriet is his wife then add her memorial and I will put up the picture of her stone.
Please change the name of the cemetery to Brockville Old Protestant Cemetery. They are not in Oakland Cemetery, it is across the highway.
