I'm in the midst of a large project to identify and document the Civil War monuments and graves in the state of Washington. That takes me to hundreds of cemeteries and involves many volunteers who are passionate about our boys who so long ago fought for their country, be it blue or gray.We are especially interested in those who were born from 1815 until 1846. Birth dates matter as they had to be old enough to serve, and dates of death are important when reviewing pension records.
