Hello, My family and I get all our information right from the cemeteries we acutally go out and visit. Not from books, newspaper obits or funeral home obits. To us it is more fun to do what we call cemetery hunting, going out and finding them. We feel that everyone should be remember. They are our history. Anyone that wishes can use any of the pictures and information that I have posted.
RE: Thanks You are welcome. We are also related thru extended family and wanted the photo, which is why we looked for the cemetery. It was not easy to find in the middle of a soybean field, in a small wooded glen. You would not be able to drive thru the field once the beans were planted. We photographed all the legible markers while we were there and corrected the GPS coordinates.
Roxie Lowder Hi guys! I didn't realize there was a photo request for this memorial until I got the message after loading the photol!!! I'm so glad I found her… she's buried with her son, George, in Fairview Memorial Cemetery in Albemarle, NC. Another son, Quentin, is buried on the other side of her. I was photographing there last week and happened to snap the gravestone. I sent a message to Carol Griffin the creator of the memorial to switch her over to the correct cemetery and thought I'd let you know… Hope all is well! Blessings, Dana
