Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing family research since the late 1970's. I have been associated with the Jefferson County (KS) Genealogical Society, being the organizing President and since served in that capacity two more times. I live in Winchester, Kansas. My wife, Marie and I have been married 62 years. We have four living children, 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. My family research interests are many, but especially Riley, Nettleton, Curry and Fulton. We have many ancestors buried in Atchison and Jefferson Counties, Kansas. In addition, I have served the United Methodist Church as organist for the past 50 years and have served the Winchester and Jefferson County North Schools as statistician for over 60 years. I was the Director of the Winchester Public Library at the time the present building was constructed.

Please contact me if you find a direct relative's memorial I manage, and would like to have the memorial transferred. Please include your Find a Grave ID # with any requests. If you find any errors or wish to have me add additional information to a memorial, please let me know.

Entries of Persons Still Livig
My wife and I have made preparations in advance for our burial which included markers. We are still very much alive but the pictures of our markers and gravesite have been placed on "Find A Grave" with our personal information without our knowledge or permission. The date of death were BLANK but the person who made the entry "Unknown". The result has been that our family members have been contacted seeking information about our deaths. I am concerned not only misinformation been spread but also possible legal questions that might arise.

BTW, Raymond, are you related to Louisa Conwell's father, David Dickinson? I ask because he was director of the Kansas State Library at Topeka for ten years before he died. You seem to have that interest in common...

Thank you so much for the DOD corrections for Ezra and Louisa Conwell. Good eye! I hadn't noticed that the memorial dates didn't agree with the headstone when I had it transferred to me.

Millard Tate photo thank you!
Thanks so much for the neat photo you took/posted for Millard Tate's memorial. His older brother was married into my Braun family; both family's traveled westward from Indiana. Thanks for your diligent work!

Thank you for posting " Kathy's " stone. Her Mother was from Valley Falls. I was privileged to meet her acquaintance in the fall of 1982, when I attended Kansas State University. I have never met finer person ever. The goddess Athena Herself. In 2012 I found where she was buried. Someday soon, I will venture to Valley Falls Cemetery , so I can pray for her and lay white roses on her grave.

Lena Vogel photo copy
Thanks a bunch for moving the grave-stone photo copy to Lena's "other" memorial page - looks great, and gr-gr-gr granddaughter is pleased. I've left word for FranzJr that he can now delete the duplicate memorial, which he is more than willing to do. So, Lena is all together, and I'm again impressed with how helpful the community is! Appreciating you!
