We grew up visiting cemeteries in the 60's & 70's with our dad (Ralph Jones). We would go to them while on vacation. We had many picnics in cemeteries. I have passed this along to my children!
After my father died, I "inherited" all of his genealogy records and have been putting them on the computer. He researched: Crissey, Merz, Love, Langworthy, Burchard,Warre, Scofield, Lyon, Butterfield, Dodson, Walker, Moore, Jones, Peterson, Anderson, Lundahl - to name a few. He loved helping people solve a mystery. He would really have enjoyed this.
I have added my husbands family to my on going research: Childs, Wilcox, Scofield - to name a few.
I enjoy taking photos and like the "Scavenger Hunt" as I walk through the cemetery to look for the tombstones. I recently introduced one of my nieces to taking photos in cemeteries and searching for graves. As a photographer, she may have gotten the bug to do find-a-grave :) She became facinated with the art work and shadows as well as the names! I hope to take my other nieces and nephews with me to get the next generation to care about cemeteries.

RE: Crissey photos
Hi, LeAnn ~ guess the Crisseys went unfound for so long because they were thought to be in wrong cemetery, but glad to have been able to visit them for you finally!

Thank you. As it turns out I have worked most of the day today on that couple and their offspring. They are not family of mine, but as a senior citizen, I meet daily with others at the mall and the late husband of one, was family. Thanks again.

Thanks alot for taking the pictures. My husband is related to the most of the Cosgroves/Crosgroves/Crossgroves, Mateers, Guilds and Taylors in Westfield Cemetery and some in Union Cemetery. Christine and Hugh's daughter was married to the nephew of my husband's 3rd great-grandfather John Cosgrove (1808-1890). My husband's middle name is Mateer.
