Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing genealogy research on my family (Cocker, Maier, Peak & Sayers) for 30 years or so - mostly from Philadelphia. Within the past few years I have also been working on identifying and photographing the burial locations of Delaware Civil War veterans, Delaware Spanish American War veterans, and US Colored Troops (Civil War) veterans who were from Delaware. With this info I am helping to populate on-line databases. I am also a member of The Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania, Delaware Genealogical Society, Delaware Historical Society, and the Board of Directors of Friends of Historic Riverview Cemetery (Wilmington).

If you note any errors in any of my listings, please feel free to contact me. Also, I will be happy to transfer any of the memorial pages that I created, just let me know. Any of the photos that I have added to Find A Grave may be used for genealogical purposes.

RE: John Groner - Paxtang Cemetery

The fault was mine, I misspelled it originally.
I have these cemetery records and I copied the record where it's not spelled correctly

Memorial #102536375 Francis Simpers

I was at the Angel Hill Cemetery in Havre de Grace, MD this afternoon and got a picture of the added marker. Doing a bit of research on Francis Simpers, I found that he was born in 1845 in Maryland. Not sure of when he passed.

His military time was spent as a Private with the Union's 8th Regiment MD Infantry, Co A.

He enlisted 13 August 1862 and mustered out on 31 May 1865 at Arlington Heights, VA.

The 1880 census showed that he, his wife and their 5 kids lived in Havre de Grace, MD.

Not sure if you wanted to add any or all of this to his memorial.
