|Carol Park||Old Union Cementery|
My grandparents Oliver and Christina Grandstaff are buried at the old union cementery. I did visit old union back in 2000 or around that time. There was a sign as you walked up the hill to the cementery that read "Old Union Cementery, Cherkoee burial site" Was wondering if anyone knows why it is not there anymore?
Any information on the Grandstaff family would be appreciated! The name is spelled a few different ways,,Grandstaff, Grindstaff
Also looking for land deeds for Abraham Grandstaff who I think was awarded land in Mo in or aroud 1812. Any Cherkoee information I would love to find
Thank You very much
Carol Grandstaff (Park)

It's been a little while. I was wondering if you get back to New provience cemetery in Columbia, around James Lawrence Creasy if you could find a Stella Creasy which would be his wife. Stella passed away before James per death certificate. I really don't know when and where she died. I have looked on Missouri death records and found nothing. I have just found her sister that was in California at Belmount Memorial Park, in Fresno, California.

Hi, saw your offer to take pictures in your area but I'm new to this and don't see an mention of where your "area" is. My grandparents are buried at Grand View Baptist Cemetery in Boone Co. Missouri and hoped since you had posted a pic of the church you might be close. Their names were Leonard and Inez Wickell. This is what I remember from my last visit 15 years ago. If you walk through the gate (is it still there?) and walk straight about 30-40 yards they should be there. Headstone faces the road. Leonard died in 1964 and Inez in 1985/86. Thanks for any help you can give me on this.

Please contact me. I do family research and Issac VanDevender (b.18 Dec 1841 d. 11 Jan 1935) and Martin VanDevender (b. 9 May 1848 d. 13 Oct 1931) were brothers. Both had sons named Sylvanus. Your Great Grandfather Sylvanus was b. 1n 1877 and d. 21 Mar 1972 and my Great Grandfather Sylvanus was b. 2 May 1876 and d. 21 Mar 1972. Research is a tricky thing so maybe the two Sylvanus' are one and the same. I have no marriage or children data on your Sylvanus but my G-Granddad married twice (Oda Mullenux d. 1932) children unknown and Bessie Warner (b. 1880 and d. 26 nov 1922, married 17 May 1899) there were several children, Gladys (b. ??? and d. ???), Robert A. VanDevender (b. 2 Jun 1901 and d. ???), Howard Alston VanDevender (my Granddad b. maybe 1904 and d. 8 Aug 1945 in a War Plant accident), Myrtle Vandevender (b. abt 1904 and d. ???), and Oral Howard Vandevender (b. 8 May 1906 and d. 21 Jan 1971). These children could have been split between both marriages. Does any of this ring a bell? I would really like to swap names, dates, stories, etc... We are definitly related as at least 2nd Cousins. Maybe you can fill in several gaps and I have several newly discovered Cousins that would like to meet you over the net of course. Isn't this fun and a great way to meet family. Welcome to the family Cuz...

|Pam Barns||Nancy Ann Greenhalgh McBain(e)|
I added a Memorial for Nancy Ann Greenhalgh McBain(e). You can upload her gravestone picture and I can update the dates -- if I can see them. If they are not very readable, perhaps you can send me what you think the dates are and we'll go with that!!! Thanks, again, for your help. Pam

Thanks for trying to find Elizabeth McBaine. I hope I didn't inconvenience you with this request. I do appreciate your time and effort.
Yes, I would like to see the photos you were able to take. I find these very old gravestones interesting and these are some of the oldest!!! If I can identify them and put Mmeorial pages up for them, then I can contact you to post your picture so you get credit for doing so. I recognize some of the names, but not the babies' names, so they might take a little while to figure out whose children they were. they are all surely related somehow!!!
Please send them to me via email, if you don't mind. My email address is on my Contributor page.
Thanks, again, for your help.
Hope to hear from you soon.
