GENEALOGY has been in my life for over 50 years. Putting Madison County graves and photos on Findagrave is my personal goal. Findagrave is an awesome database. If you are close kin to anyone whose grave I photographed and wish to "manage it" please notify me. I will ask for your relationship so have your genealogy handy. Corrections and/or additions are also appreciated. I also appreciate any additional information about infant graves.(i.e. who are/were their parents)|
Hoping this site has aided you in your genealogy.:)

|ValSG||Prescott & Gilmore|
Melody, just wanted to say thank you for linking John Wesley Prescott's family all together and for his wife and mother now having their full names. It is good to see it.
On Eliza Gilmore Grantham, do you happen to know anything more on her? Does she have a marker or anything? These Gilmore's of hers, her parents & siblings, annoy the heck out of me, seemingly none of them want to be found after their deaths. The only one of Eliza's family, her parents and siblings, that I know where he is and has a headstone is her brother William Wiley. Ah well, maybe one day I'll know.
PS, are you connected in any way? Just wondering.

|Virginia Harmon||RE: Sponsoring Memorial|
My grandfather was James Oren Granberry, son of Lee Floyd son of James Madison. I remember attending Delilahs funeral when I was just a babe.

You are certainly.welcome. Thank you for managing the memorial. His daughter, Delilah Jane was my grandfather's grandmother.

I deleted the duplicates and transferred the pics of their markers. Sorry it took so long - no excuse.

I just noticed that there was an earlier memorial for Bailis Orrick here:
Just wanted to give you a heads up- I've had my fair share of memorials I've accidentally duplicated!

|BG||Mary Ann (Thomas) Thomas|
Mary Ann (Thomas) Thomas, 80, a long-time Angleton resident, passed away on Oct. 10, 2014, at Country Village in Angleton, Texas. She was born in Madisonville on Nov. 26, 1933, to Mary Elizabeth Young Thomas and E.P. (Buck) Thomas. Her early years were spent in Madisonville. Mary Ann graduated from Madisonville High School and The University of Texas at Austin. She taught elementary school in Houston before going to work for Humble Oil Co. After marrying Wiley Thomas she stayed home to raise two children and contribute to the Angleton community through various civic organizations. Mary Ann was an active member of the Texas Exes, Holy Comforter Episcopal Church, Angleton Study Forum, Brazoria County Museum, Republican Party of Texas, Daughters of the King, Daughters of the American Revolution and Daughters of the Republic of Texas. Friendship was an important aspect of Mary Ann's life and she will be remembered most for those life-long friendships. She instigated and organized birthday lunches, bridge clubs and evening dinners to connect with her friends on a regular basis. Her reach in the community was based on her desire to spend time with people and hear their stories and news. The Madisonville Mushroom festival allowed her to stay in touch with her childhood friends in Madisonville. Mary Ann Thomas is survived by her two children: a son, John Wiley Thomas and wife, Robin, of Austin, and a daughter, Rebecca Thomas Esposito and husband, Danny, of Madisonville; and four grandsons, Andrew Wiley Thomas, Sam Finley Thomas, Brian Hayes Esposito and Daniel Garrett Esposito. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 16, at Holy Comforter Episcopal Church in Angleton. She will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery with her husband. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions be made to Holy Comforter Episcopal Church in Angleton or the First United Methodist Church in Madisonville.

|Frank Parker||Shelburne Cemetery|
Hi Melody - I'm not sure what you're asking me to do. I see only 3 burials in the cemetery and I'm not sure what "duplicates" you are referring to, or what the other site is that you are referring to. Help me out with a little more info and I'll try to comply with your request.
