Please use the "EDIT" tab to ask for EACH transfer request.

The goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it.

****If you volunteer on this website and decide you no longer want to maintain the records please transfer your records to someone who has an active account and willing to take over the records. I am one of many willing to take over records. This really will help reduce duplicates. It would also be a good idea to leave someone instructions on how to do make these transfers should you go inactive without warning.***** Thank You (Borrowed from another FAG Contributor)

By Thelma Greene Reagan

Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where other cried
For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.

Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.

Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.

Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hollowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.

Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.

Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.

Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.

"If you wonder about your 'roots' you have two parents, four grandparents eight great-grandparents and 16 great-great-grandparents, and by the time you go back 10 generations 300 years or so- you had 1,024 people from whom you are directly descended. --Mady Castro

RE: Dorothy Marie Willis Cole
Mr. King

Thank you for your help.

I have 43,000 names in my Family Tree Maker including The Galliers.

I can do my research, but I do not do anything else like copy and paste etc. Always afraid I will lose the names. I married into the Ashworth family, my maiden name is Tumlinson of Stephen F. Austin,s Colony. And yes Marie was a funny, sweet, loving lady Elizabeth

Mr. King
Thank you for your email about Marie Cole and for posting her photo to her memorial #1727680.

She was a true Lady. Taught me so much. She and my mother-in-law Ethel Allen Ashworth, taught me how to cook East Texas and Louisiana food. Both turned me on to Cajun and South Louisiana Music.

Her daughter Sabrina Tumlinson is my sister-in-law and everyone should have a sister-in-law like her. She is the best.

Would you please add the obit to her memorial.

Thank You So Much

She is my 4th cousin 3x removed. May I use her gravestone photo in my Family Tree? I will gladly give you credit. Thank you, Terry

Hi Homer,

I just found this site (and page). Fred was my grandfather. He had two more children (with Mildred) who are not listed. My aunt Judy and my mom, Carolyn. Judy passed in 2009. My mom is still alive and kicking! Thanks for the picture. I loved him so much!

PS...I have a really good friend who lives in Lumberton, TX! Small world.
